International Pacific Championship

Certainly most endurance, but Naufahu Whyte for me provided the most impact. Almost ran over Haas at one point. Our bench impact is unrivalled
He is normally the starting and alpha prop for an elite team. Unleashing him off the bench had his fresh legs against fatigued defenders and he carved up.
Arguably Erin and Whyte won the match. The game swung to us when they came on.

Still buzzing from the match.

Luai is not a grub. He is a pest and there is a difference. He is the captain of an NRL franchise and plays with the heart of a Lion,.
Today we beat a fearsome Samoa team that included Luai and Haas at the peak of their careers. They wanted to win make no bones about it. This is a big day for Kiwi League.

Been a fan a Naufahu Whyte for a while now and what he’s doing so young and with his frame, he’s going to be an elite middle forward for some time. Demitric Vaimauga gives me a similar vibe, just doesn’t smile as much as Whyte and not as big

I thought Whyte was elite in near the middle of the field and on offence but thought Hass was better at tough carries out of his own end.
Haas is still number one but Whyte looked like a top 5 in the world out there. Just not ready to take the crown yet as best in the world. I wouldn't put the Kangaroo props in the frame despite their reputations.

What Haas does with his size and minutes played and things like leading the kick chase are unheralded, he truly is an exceptional athlete. We are really spoiled because I think Whyte is as good as Tapine at lock and their ball playing offers an element that Haas doesn’t possess being an out and out prop. Was really impressed with JFH passing game too in this one. Nikora really is strong too, couldn’t say anyone had a poor one

What a great game. As others have mentioned, so much better than Origin.

Whyte and Brown best on field, was never in the camp of Brown being worth the hype or the money that has been thrown at him but in this series he has looked fantastic and plaudits throughly deserved.

Samoa played very well and absolute credit to the passion they showed (except Luai, Luai can get fucked 😁). The final result didnt reflect the game but they will learn alot from it and come back stronger.

I thought CNK had an excellent game at centre. Seemed alot more involved and a nice little chip in goal for a restart. Webby take note.

Congrats Fozzy, a beautiful way to end a great career.

See you all next year!

He’s gonna be a massive loss for them if he goes to rugby- irreplaceable.
Paulo and papa ain’t getting any younger either- the World Cup a likely swan song.

This is probably 1 of our golden generations our team is super balanced and can match AUS. Samoa never really going to keep up with us when they have the likes of Jazz, CHT and Blaze in the team. They'll upgrade again with Crighton and the Hammer though

Good on Stacy showing his growth as the coach, him moving CNK to centre with good results and Samoa moving RTS to FB might give Webby enough data to change his mind with Stacy been his assistant/advisor....

Kini what a player we'd love to have....sounds like a super humble human being too, maybe the Titans new coach can clean him out back to Auckland lol, he gets rag dolled all the time! Let us have him!

Clark was he propping or locking off the bench, just out of curiosity lol

Geezz i don't remeber SJ being so keen to rub salt into a losing side like this. For context: "playonsportsshow" is a podcast SJ & co have ran for a while now, and online a lof of samoans were calling NZ the samoan B team because of how many kiwi players had some amount of samoan blood in them.
