Of all people to turn the tide I thought big Griffin brought some real starch to the side upon his injection. No fear in that bloke.

He was a brick wall, their go-forward stopped up the middle when he was on. But I doubt any team could have handled the Tongan pack in the first 20-30, it was an incredible sight.

Pretty sure you need way more than on field results.
Think you need to be financially stable, have pathways and meet lots of other thresholds to become tier 1.
No way any of the Polynesian teams will be viable for tier 1 for a long time I reckon if that’s true.

Niukore has been disappointing. Looks like hes holding back on his runs (worried about previous injuries now?). Hopefully he gets a good offseason and stays healthy during pre season and hes back to his normal self.

Timoko was also a bit disappointing in both games getting beat in defense a few times, but we're very thin at centre anyway.

Out of everyone we missed, Hughes was the biggest and would have been a huge difference maker in both games.

It's a shame because im not scared of this current Aussie side and I thought we we're probably the better team in our outing - if it wasn't for Harry Grant and Lomax, we might have ground out a low scoring win there.

A few days later, in hindsight, despite losing both games it wasn't a TERRIBLE Pacific Cup. Extremely disappointing we couldn't back up after last year, but we were actually competitive against Aussie and Tonga were just rampant for 40 minutes, and ultimately we had our chances to win that one.
