International Pacific Championship

Well played Tonga. New Zealand were lucky to get it close after that start.

Tonga with a 96% completion rate at one stage vs New Zealand with in the 60s. They also had 1000 running metres vs New Zealands 500. Hard to win when you keep dropping the ball and the other team doesn't.

It would have been a good come back. Not to be. Well done Tonga.

Also what an atmosphere. Glad the Tongans turn up as often international league is played in front of quiet crowds.

Another loss under his belt for the season He was absolutely missing when it counted. Last tackle and he passes it off to a guy with nowhere to go giving Tonga an easy hand over. Has been a great player but he is done
Defended really well and creating a lot of space on his outside, he should have taken that penalty at the end. We probably would have won

I feel like this series will be a free pass for Stacy given all the outs we had.
But, defence was woeful. Not sure what happened out there in the first half tonight, but gave me trauma flashbacks of Wahs 24 season .

A real shame we didn't have Hughes.

Felt like having one world class half, could have been the difference maker in both games really.

Hats off to Kini and Whyte who played their ears off today.

Hiku was all class both games.

Fish and Tapene always lead from the front, we're extremely lucky to have them always fit and ready to play. Think we'd be pretty lost without them.

Crossland and Neame were solid both games.

Agree with most of this, but I do think Fish and Tapine were a bit off in the first half, AFB and Taumalolo were on top of them in the middle.

Sucks I think the Aussies will beat them through fitness next week, I reckon we would've stood a better chance. Our attack looked another better this week when we could hold the ball and their forward pack wasn't dominating us

Johnson was massive ya muppet
Played pretty well behind a beaten pack and a team struggling to complete sets i thought.

2 try assists, a try involvement. General kicking (when we finally did complete a set) was nice n deep.....made an absolute critical try saver tackle on Katoa who was away. Missed the droppie at the end (against markers who were never onside) and that time he gave it to a runner on the last the only smudges i could see

But hey.....its SJ so...... ;)

What makes it worse is we let fuuuucken Havili get over from dummy half and that was the difference
The second one from dummy half rubbed it in. Sure it wasn't just a barge over. He through a dummy and was further out. But still after conceding a try from dummy half you should be alert.

Mind you then we scored from dummy half.

Some of the tries the Kiwis scored were refreshing. Some good interchange of passing for the Crossland one. Then the Tapine one which was an individual effort. I say refreshing as the Warriors the last 4 years or so have been get into the 20 then play some football.

all credit to Tonga, deserved to win.... horrible first half, Timoko, Sorensen edge way to weak, also considering Hiku got all the hate coming into the series he was good so was Kini despite a bad first half whom i mainly blame on our Forwards. we had the players to do the job but not sure if Stace is the man.... i just cant see a Muguire side being that bad first half.... oh well

No coincidence that we looked good when the crowd was taken out of the game, they’re an extra player. They rode the crowd in their intensity in the first half and we couldn’t match them. I’m not knocking Stacey on that performance as it was us that couldn’t match them on the field in large periods. One of the best team tries I’ve seen but overall clunky. I went into halftime gutted about losing AFB and gaining JFH as a Warriors fan but by the end felt completely comfortable with what we’re getting. No doubt AFB about the best prop going around though at the moment
