I've always been of the argument that yes, you always want whatever team you pick to win, but you
are going to get bored if your team
always wins and
always by a big margin and it's not right that if a player signs to be part of a pathway at a young age then that means he has to follow that pathway the whole way, even if his heart isn't in it (ie NZ Rugby sign you and you're playing for the All Blacks or nothing for 3+ years, pal!)
I'm still well confident the Kiwis can take whatever any Pacific Island nation throws at us, but I like that
RTS and
CHT are playing for Samoa. Same with KL.
As to
TMM, I don't feel like he's earnt a relationship with
Webby/whoever the Kiwis coach has been since he last played like some players have with Wayne Bennett/Craig Bellamy ie they'll put up with the player's little idiosyncrasies (even if he's not being 100% consisent with that player's team-mates) because he knows the player will put in as and when needed and he's senior which does lend him a bit of leeway.
