The thing that interests me about this whole thing is that Mr Metcalf has not said a Goddamn thing since signing with the Dragons.
I feel he's holding back until the Warriors management say "Screw it, Luke you can go now!"...And we don't get anything for the immediate release.

You read my mind no statements, short video talks or interviews for Wahs or drags clubs or supporters. At least get AI to write I’m committed and will put everything out there. First statement could be mid game or post game on-field interview, unheard of. Doubt this is evidence he’s going now but some, clunky PR handling from your marquee and possibly highest paid player

The school event or something right? Did he put out any statements at the event? Normally PR team addresses it before going to public events. Business as usual 😂

How good was TSS - what a quality modern prop he is looking. Put a legit stint in, fast play the balls and very strong runs. Plenty of aggression. You can see Fish has helped him develop.
He sure is, I particularly like his quiet workmanlike approach without the flamboyant shit. Barring injuries he will develop into one of our best.

I would say his silence is at the request of he warriors up until a point in time. I would imagine that he has addressed the group already - and I read something last night saying such - it might have been from a poster.

When a number of ‘fans’ turn on you, rightly or wrongly, and the media keep stoking the fire - The last thing some want to do is explain yourself to outside nioise. It is evident that most of the media have called his decision… actions strange and premature…… added to that - that many fans only look at it from one angle and won’t look at it from his point of view. He came to the club being told that he will get his shot at 7, he was killing it at 7 last season - not perfect but enough to lead the Dally M’s - Then coming back from injury told he is now seen as a 6. Maybe there is more to it I’m sure. Webby has said he is committed to this year and wants to help us get a premiership wherever he is needed. But as the club have changed stance and see Tanah as the 7, he wants to go elsewhere and play 7 next year. He has limited years left playing to achieve a personal goal, he also has a newborn in NZ and his family in Sydney. As a poster said yesterday - as long as the team accept him into the fold now - then it is a win for Metcalf and for the Warriors with the $900 000 off the books for a 6 or reserve 7.

Perhaps he wants his football to do the talking. Or …..maybe a lot more is going on behind the scenes and until that is concrete - there is no need for a running commentary. Maybe there is healing in the team to be done - and therefore the future this year is still up in the air. I respect the silence in a way. He could have come out and said anything and there are still many who will hunt for the negative. Anyhow - I would say he has been advised by the club to not say anything just yet - just my opinion on it.
