Pick Your Team NZ Warriors v Cronulla Sharks - [Round 5, 2026]

It happened last year when we played them at Shark Park too. Our more mobile, fitter pack simply outlasted them at the end, which is exactly what happened in the Phins game last week as well. They need 4 props on the bench because other than AFB, none of them are particularly mobile. So the equation really is simple: stop AFB and we win the middle. It's really remarkable how piss poor the running meter stats are for the other sharks middles. Never seen a pack so dependent on one player (as we were when he was over here).
AFB is a bulldozer but not threatening. I would take Fords 200m over AFB 200m for the impact on defences. Both play long minutes but meter per minute are probably only similar to props playing 20 minutes less.

Fatiguing opposition through quickness is more taxing than slow post contact meters that allows our defence to set while he slowly chugs up an extra 5 metres.

Jye Linnane is the answer at fullback I reckon
As for CNk scoring a double from 5 metres out doesn’t make u a good centre.

Brandon Norris needs to be in cup so we can chuck him in first grade. Seems like we’re the only club who isn’t keen on young backs
Linnane probably needs to work his way back up through Flegg.

He's been out 13-14 months with the same knee injury.

We don't even know if he'll even be above average Cup level this year or next.

I'd honestly put more hope into Thompson and Inch at this point.

Sorry bro. Short attention span. Take me days to read that.
Sounds like you're being way to dramatic in regards to Ali.

Dallin is still here? His missed tackles and laziness is legendary!

Take a deep breath, Have a hard wank & a smoke. At the same time. You'll live. Ali will too.
Dallins misreads arent through lack of effort....learn the difference

Ali will get a shot again, up to him to put the mahi in.

I saw the trainer checking out the hand during the game - he played on with the injury.

Times gone by I would jump down the throat of said trainer but hand injuries are notoriously difficult to assess for severity.

And this is a thumb too so as everyone know's pain in a digit is not a useful diagnostic indicator (watch trainers pull dislocated fingers and players go 'nothing to see here' and finish the game).

Even a broken metacarpal (hand bone) is not necessarily easy to nail down because unless there is an obvious deformity, most NRL forwards are psychos that won't feel pain like the rest of us.

Thumbs can be tricky, hope his is straight forward, still, there is nothing better for his leg recovery than a break now from play and back to working those legs contact free.

Why, because he played poor first game back from an ACL?? If we have a chance at a premiership it’ll be off the back of Metcalf. Not to discredit Boyd at all.

Roger’s my all time fav warriors player, but if anyone needs to be dropped it’s him.
Roger dropped 😅 so you seriously think Mellars or AKP are gonna do a better job 😂 that's my laugh for the day that'll do me

Opposition will be laughing for days 🤣

I’m picked the Storm to beat the Panthers in an epic showdown, with the Storm up for the challenge.

Then they will come down off their high when they play us the following week and we will beat them, repeating how we were off our best against the Tigers!
