Social NZ Warriors NRL Fantasy Competition 2025

Not a great first week as I had 6 DNPs. 4 in my 17 and 2 in my EMGs so could only cover 2 spots.
I tend to make 2 trades during the week rather than during the Round at the start but realise using trades just 'cos I can isn't the way to go.
I also have this thing about trading a Matching Player out before a Non-Matching Player.
So add that up to my admitted Warriors/Raiders proness and Storm/Sea Eagles antiness and I'm probably not going to visit tne top of the Warriors Official League...

How did you have 6 DNP?

I have Metcalf and Vaumunga. Metcalf is currently looped in case he has another shit show, and Vaumunga I think will be a good slow burn once he gets minutes. I can see him being similar to Willison last year, getting to around 4-500k at some point before upgrading him.

I also have Finefeuiaki whose not playing this week, but again I feel he'll be a 45-50 point player by the end of the year.

I have Garrick and Jazz in my team which could be great for me this week fantasy wise, but I'd be more than happy if they shit the bed in a dominant Warriors display haha

Other 5 - Probably my stupid idea of loading my Bench with 230-250K Players who aren't exactly definite starters for their respective sides but hey, in theory, I get a kick-ass 13. Nope. Metcalf, Leiataua and Mahoney all got under 30...

Oh damn.

#1 rule I learnt from last year was to make sure everyone in your team is a definite starter. If they have a bye rounds 1 then you have to know they are a starter. I had Hamelin (prop from sharks) in my squad for 6 rounds injured and that really set me back.

People focus on the salary cap but the other main restraint is how many player spots you have. Everyone in your 21 needs to be scoring points, generating cash or both.

Farnworth - 55 points - if he isn't fantasy royalty already he should be as far as centres go
I Katoa - 75 points is this a break out year
Tom Gilbert - 43 points - dissapointing for those who traded him in this week

Ponga - 86 points - he is a beast
Bradman Best 77 points - I couldn't afford him this year
Fletcher Sharpe 68 points - At $562K not very affordable
Dylan Lucas 73 points - looking good for 2025
Adam Elliot 55 points - don't be sucked into his world

You left out my main man Marzhew. 69 points with out a try. Also managed to play over 120mins without making a single tackle this season.

You have to go back to 2019 for him to have scored lower after playing 70+ minutes (40 was his lowest after 2019) and...he was playing FUCKEN CENTRE!!!

I wasn't following him closely because he's not in my team, but WTF happened??? 25 tackles, 4 missed...

Fuck, I love picking up yeo as he is a set and forget. Had no idea why he scored so low as I didn't catch the game but he was playing center!? Why!?

Thankfully I only had him as vc. Was thinking about making him captain earlier in the week though!

I was not so lucky with supercoach. Had Dylan Edwards as captain.
