NRL Round Discussion NRL Round 8, 2025 Discussion

I thought the ref did ok? If anything the Dogs should have had another in the bin. I think it was Burton?

I had a post that I was going to reply with, but it ended up being a novel and I didn't want to subject you to that.

In a nutshell, the refs are too inconsistent and it leads to players, like the mutts, thinking that there's a limitations to how much they'll get penalised.

My suspicion is that the NRL tells these guys to limit the counts/even them up in the name of a better entertainment product.

Annoys the shit out of me.

Bulldogs were filthy, 6 on report and the sin bins. Plus the ones that should have been like here and on Walters. Ref took pity because they were getting smashed I reckon
They have been filthy all year. They seem to base their play on this, bullying, grubby and capitalize on opposition mistakes from losing their head. I thought the Broncos kept their cool and executed their play exceedingly well in the conditions. Exposed the Dogs a fair bit with great attack. It will be an interesting game against us because I think we can really frustrate them if we keep our cool - Leka and Demi spring to mind here.

The Refs have given the Dogs an armchair ride this season. Some real dog acts that have gone unpunished until last night. From memory they had close to 60,000 at their last home game and the crowd influences the Refs.
That leading with the knee and follow up kick in the head should have been a sendoff.

The Burton late shot and the Tupouniua knee lift were pretty bad and imo, if a Warrior had done either of those they would have had a 10 minute break minimum.

Remember last year where CHT was binned for dropping a ball on a players head, or Rogers weak AF sinbin from a high shot?
What happened to Konrad all those years ago when he played with a lifting knee

Bulldogs fans brought back to reality ... top of the table but long season to go, not the easiest draw playing us 23rd prior to Roosters/Panthers/Storm/Sharks not the easiest end to the Reg season ... I think we have the fire-power to take them on if are young guns keep lifting their FG games skills

When you look over our draw is pretty sweet esp last third ...as long as the TITs don't end up being our kryptonite again

Don't forget injuries, we had a dream run in 23 then hit with an injury list the length of my arm last year.
We have had a slightly better run this year with only Our two star wingers on the long term injury list, fingers crossed JFH is back soon.
When the dogs get a few tougher games and a few injuries they will realise this isn't a ten round comp.

ST clearly saw the guy’s head there and decided to lead with his knee, second one looked deliberate trying to put on a second blow and connected too and got his wish, and they binned Monty 😂

Egan needs to look out for these dirty plays for his own career’s sake, other teams know they might get away against the Warriors
