This is why I can't see them getting close to Melbourne. Would have been a different game had the dogs in the first half actually held the ball.

Pretty shit 2nd half by Broncs. Not at all that different to our game against them last week. Physically outmuscled by a more mobile and fitter pack with crazy line speed. No coincidence that us and the Raiders also caused the Broncos problems.

Pretty shit 2nd half by Broncs. Not at all that different to our game against them last week. Physically outmuscled by a more mobile and fitter pack with crazy line speed. No coincidence that us and the Raiders also caused the Broncos problems.

That first half showed the benefit of having attacking options available. It's all well and good having the grind but Storm did it to us and broncos now to the bulldogs. Game was over at halftime.

I agree- that's something we need to work on. Also this grinding style we employ along with the dogs and penrith relies on high effort intensity. The moment it drops off like it did for the dogs tonight and has for the panthers until last week, things fall apart very easily. Grinding styles can beat most teams, but it's not enough against a Melbourne.

he just had to give the broncos a sin bin to even it up a little!

I thought the ref did ok? If anything the Dogs should have had another in the bin. I think it was Burton?

Penrith also had nice attacking shape to finish off sides once they ground them into the dust. Need both and I think we can all agree that we don't really have the former just yet.
