General NRL Round 7 2026 Discussion

Ciraldo must have got it from Webby for these howlers
the equivalent is if webby put Barney at centre - i.e. a backrower who transitioned to the middle, filling gap at centre - even if you take the consideration around galvin out of the picture (i.e. shifting him to 6 and burton to the centre, with sos at 7) then you've still got 3 or 4 better options than that ... eg. sua on the wing and monty at centre, mann at centre, etc etc. ... fucking stupid coaching

Not the same, but I'm not sure alot of people shared the vision of an 80 min Ford...

Ciraldos gone a bit mental, but I also think he suffers from the people around him.

Webby seems far more free to do what he wants here and pretty much can't do much wrong as long as we're competing for the top 4.

Bulldogs performance makes our victory v titans more impressive. Like us, dogs had to back up a big emotional upset win against a far less fancied opponent that they were expected to towel up. But they shat the bed whereas we continued on like business as usual.

It's even weirder than that. Imagine if RTS went down as a center and we had an actual outside back on the extended bench like Taine. We'd all be going for Webby if his first instinct was to put Barney to center, instead of bringing on Taine to the wing and shifting one of the wingers inside. Not to mention if he defended that decision in the presser by falsely stating that Barney had played at center at his previous club (Newcastle). All of that happened yesterday with Ciraldo and Curran.

TBF Webby would have played Leka or Cape at centre and pushed Pompey to the wing 😂

I think it's different. Webby has only used Capewell/Leka at center as a last resort: ie when all our outside back cover has been exhausted. He wouldn't go there if we had outside back cover on the extended bench. But that's exactly what Ciraldo did yesterday. His first instinct was to go for the forward (Curran) and only later in the game did he actually make use of the outside back cover (Sua) once Curran started to cock everything up. Really bizarre stuff. This is also not the first time: during the South's game he didn't use Xerri and brought on a half instead (SOS) when Crichton got injured.

Maybe Sua is their Ali and SOS is their mini CNK 😂
