NRL Round Discussion NRL Round 5 2025 Discussion

Can't blame him when he is playing behind a pack that is not dominating. Other than AFB (212 m), none of the other forwards made more than 100 meters. I think it was the same last week against the dogs. The rest of their pack is clearly free loading on AFB, not putting in what they did last year because they know that AFB is there.
Could be something to this, he's like the anti-Fish, makes others around him worse.
He didn't make Barney worse though, maybe there's something wrong with the Sharks culture, like being lazy cheating cu$nts.

Season isn’t decided after 5 rounds Let’s see after 25 rounds before calling the break up a success

I still have the sharks in my top 4.

Aside from Broncos and Melbourne I can’t see many better man for man.

I think they are overrated, as are the Broncos. Both sides may have talent but they also have incredibly soft underbellies and crack relatively easily under pressure. They are both way below the Storm who I think are the clear favorites by some margin. I'm celebrating for a week if we find a way to crack them next week.

Last year, we had an unhappy AFB dominating games but being a proper sook for the whole season. Our team suffered.

if the Sharks continue to fail - and let’s be honest, they have a premiership window wide open - and their season continues to unravel and fall apart, maybe we do look a bit closer into the AFB effect….

Something to keep an eye on.

‘Smart’ coaches will very soon unfortunately be teaching their players to run at opposition tacklers shoulders hoping for penalties and potential sin bins .
Its a nightmare for taller players trying to tackle smaller players front on running hard in to the line.

Good thing our team is largely stacked with midget forwards.

Obviously not midgets but no one is going to accuse us of being the tallest team in the comp
Maybe, but having opposition wingers hitting it up on tackles 1-3 in to Barney, Niukore etc and its the same for other teams. especailly as the running player tends to lean in closer to contact which lowers their head as well. Ali and Pompey aren't midgets...

That CNK penalty last week that won us the game, if it was against us there would be howls of protest and if the player got binned as well because of it, man, that would set the place off. The biggest problem is that we are now back to the bunker interference and interpretation. Back to almost looking for a reason to send them off where I thought so far this year we had pretty much got it right and was happy for the play on calls for the most part.

Nicho is rubbish. Never been a top half. Watch Trindall run plays and leave Nicho out, even his halves partner knows.

I'd have Metcalf every day over him.

They could be. But they have some issues. Back 5 isnt as good as last year, I think they've been exposed. SSS showing hes still inexperienced.

They have a 6 who is forced to play 6&7, and an average 9.
A+ 8&10
They have shit 2nd row, Nikora aside (still not great stats) and the one of the worst bench outputs.

Sure they are missing some starters but not sure that will get them to top 4, unless there's a turnaround in form.

Horo giving Warriors fans a grilling on his podcast thing and he's completely right. Every where you go on the internet that is NRL related is filled with pissing and moaning from Warriors fans.

It's actually quite embarrassing, our fan base seems to have the absolute biggest victim complex in the whole league.

I saw someone comment in that Levels podcast YT thread saying we were 3rd in 2023 and 5th last year for penalties given/conceded ratio.

I can understand if it was Willie Mason the big twat. But Mark Horo of all people? Disappointed in the guy.
