I’ve been interested in reading the sharks forum over the past few days and their fans commenting on the regression of AFB and how in some of theirs view we utilised him better, almost making him X factor in how we were doing it. Barnett owes a lot to his own determination and drive to where he’s gotten, but I don’t believe he becomes the player he is without ever joining Warriors, whether that be the coaching or belief in him, it’s paid dividends

Under Webby, we kind of built our entire attacking shape around him. Under the sharks he is just another big body without posing as a focal pt of the attack in the same way as Hynes or Trindall. He is probably only just realizing this now.

When first started playing for the Sharks the journos really hyped him up. The missing piece of the puzzle, trimmed down etc. He did look a bit smaller. That is understandable, as most of the big guys are getting their weight down.

His motivation should have been high when he first arrived. He was back in Sydney like he wanted, a fresh start etc.

Last year, he was good. A bit different to here as his minutes looked to have changed. Some of the games this year the Sharks have been a bit out of sorts. Seen him waiting for hit-ups, but someone else takes it. They looked gassed in parts last week.

After years of players coming here and not performing. It is refreshing to see guys come here and their performances improve. It is becoming a theme.
