Looks like Manly can't blame DCE for the way they are playing now
Manly can blame DCE all they want but their problems start up front imo. It was evident from the beginning of the year when we rolled through them at Mt Smart that they don't have the pack to win the comp. Like Brisbane, they lack a real enforcer. Paseka is really their only big aggressive forward and he's basically out for the year. The rest of their middles are old, slow plodders who are well past their best. Having speed and pace in your side means nothing if you get beaten up front every week like Manly has. They have almost the reverse problem to us. One or two speedsters in our backline to complement our aggro pack would turn us into genuine contenders imo.

I don't. Manly have a relatively tough draw to finish the season that is backended with a lot of away games because they've played so many games at Brookie already. So it was important for them to start the season well which they haven't. They play Brisbane at Brookie next week. Big game for both those sides who both have 5-6 records. Whoever drops that is going to be in real strife imo. Broncos also needed a good start to compensate for their traditional drop off during origin period. Moreover I think Penrith will make a run and push someone out of the 8. Could come at the expense of either Manly, Broncos or Cows.

Fantastic to see Dylan Walker fitting in so well at his new club, and making a substantial difference. A great performance by him. Always gave his all too when fronting for the Wahs!
