NRL NRL Round 11 2026 - Magic Weekend Discussion

That was like our win over south in 2024 and then we went into 3:6, I think they are even worse at 3:7?
I think we went 3-6-1 (draw v Manly) before the magic round miracle against Penrith. That win in retrospect was meaningless because souths finished the year in the bottom 4. Dogs are looking to be on the same trajectory.

Dude next to me had a multi on the dogs game and the last thing he needed to win $1000 was for the total points scored to hit 60. He leapt out of his seat yelling when Galvin went in at the end........Nek minit

Still early days, but Souths can't be taken seriously as a contender when they regularly concede 30+ pts a game. Same reason I don't rate Newcastle or Cowboys. Scoring pts is great but defense still matters in this comp. I have a feeling when it gets closer to finals, refs will probably throw the whistle away, as they probably will during origin. At that pt, these attack oriented teams will probably mean revert a bit.

Agree. Fins shat on them tonight. Regarding attack/defence: I think Panthers are without doubt the most consistent team and WILL be minor prems again. But I think all the emotion the club will have experienced this year will hold the Warriors in good stead during playoffs. This week: we should beat Broncos 13+.
