NRL NRL Round 10 2026 Discussion

tbf souths are getting carried a lot by the ref. This game is far from over- I think Souths trailed by 18 last week too at HT. Cronulla can get back into this if they get their shit together after the break. Their yardage game is far superior to souths when they aren't coughing the ball up or giving up penalties.

Do you think this speaks to Newcastle having a quality attack? Has souffs defense improved since last week?

they also lost 36-34 to Canberra who have like the 5th worst attack in the league too in another shootout. There's also the 40-30 game in round 1 vs the Phins who aren't exactly known for their defense either. So it's a bit of both imo.

Probably.

There really is only two teams with consistency, isn't there?

Us and Penrith.
for all the bitching people do about how the new rules have favored attacking teams, 1st and 2nd have the two best defensive records (us and Penrith). Teams with awesome attack but no defense (ie cows, knights, phins, etc) are only around the middle of the table (6-11).

I honestly feel like we've adapted to the rules better than Penrith have.

We will see, in the upcoming game, but I wouldn't be shocked if we managed to scrape a win.
