4 year deal from 2026. Wonder if the raiders wanted him from 2025 and pulled back once he wasn’t granted an early release? They were offering good money. Can’t see that forward leader at bulldogs that he said he was keen to learn off, why I thought raiders and Tapine were probably his destination. Bulldogs were supposedly where Josiah Pahulu was headed too, wonder if that’s still the case?

Was some talk about roosters being linked to Staggs during the year. Could see that happening. Reckon we’re good for centres, would you be interested if there was a chance of landing him in 2026?

As one poster mentioned, his wife is from NZ so there is always potential there. Marquee signings like Staggs popping up on the market are far and few between but I’m content with the young fellas coming through.

And a better all round centre than anyone we have currently I think? He would be nice. Really though, wing is our biggest weakness currently

Happy with DWZ, will be interesting to see who replaces Montoya though

Any chance the broncos would release staggs immediately? Seems pretty strange they could hand out all these upgrades and afford to bring in hunt without releasing anybody…

If we had Staggs at centre we could have Charnze or Tuaupiki on his wing and they'd be racking up tries all day, Staggs is such a threat.

I reckon that site has cocked that up. I almost posted on here yesterday when I was looking at the same site on the contract lengths that show in that article, but for us. It showed CNK signed until 2027 and I was about to post to ask if anyone had heard of an extension for him? When I looked, it showed DWZ beneath him and only signed until 2025, which is wrong because he was extended until 2027. They’d obviously mixed them up. When you look at Walsh next to Cobbo on that list it shows Walsh only signed until 2025 when I’m sure he was extended. Pretty sure they’ve mixed them up too

Sadly we ain't winning anything with these 2 wingers. To explain I like DWZ but he has his limitations as you pointed out
RTS has been a wonderful player who is now in the twilight of his career and we are trying to juggle a spot for him.

Berry is on a reported 400k or so? We'd be mad not to get an elite centre for 400k more, and flick Berry bye bye.
He'd have enough upside that I think a few clubs would be keen on him, could see the Storm developing him into a gun centre, but we have so many players coming through and on the up, sometimes a proven gun might require a sacrifice...

Poster on the sharks forum reckons Tom Hazelton goes to dragons or Warriors. Not sure if there’s any links, but I reckon he’s a good player and would be good as that massive front rower many teams have in their pack

Hazleton runs good lines. Has a knack for scoring tries. Would be a good get for the Warriors and complement Barnett and JFH well. Dragons are cashed up though and don’t require a big move.
Warriors may get lucky if he wants to get out of his comfort zone.
