I remember thinking this guy was super human when I was a kid- he was a colossus- what a player.
A true RL great !
He was so good for the kiwis, Norths ( Sydney and Brisbane), Akld and Otahuhu.
He was very loyal when you look at the clubs above - didn’t swap clubs for extra $$.
He could have won premierships in Sydney if he had of switched clubs.
He was a target when playing for NZ vs Aust and GB … a great player!

I remember Mark smoking in the coaches box during games. We could all smoke at Mt Smart right up until 2004. Took a bit of getting use to not being able to light up but we got use to it. The security were really patient and basically spent the whole season politely telling people not to smoke in the stands...

On Monday I went to Capitol Cinemas in Mt Eden for Sharko, the Mark Graham doco directed by his son. I highly recommend it, was fantastic. I enjoyed the father-son element the doco focused on as much as I enjoyed seeing footage from old tests and stories from past greats. Made me have even more respect of Mark Graham, what an absolute legend.
You can pay for a virtual online screening online from the 15th July, highly recommend doing so.
