Luke is going to be needed this season. How that plays out will be interesting. Certainly needs to play more direct and go deep in to the line to fit our current way we play, something Boyd, CHT and TMM do pretty well.

The biggest thing for me is LM getting in to the physical aspect of the game. At least a couple of games in cup would be beneficial with that IMO. His two games this year highlighted his lack of physicality and owning his area of the defensive line.

We arent winning finals games with him at 7 in my opinion let alone a grand final. Lacks ability to organize the team constantly and is a real weak link defensively.

I don't think I've ever seen him put a good shoulder in to a tackle.

Very poor defence that example. If that's what he's bringing , TMM the whole way

Would assume Metcalf's going to get his chance for a fairy tale crack at the 7 to finish his Warriors career. He's not the undroppable player he was a week ago, if he doesn't go well, TMM/Cleary get in there.

Yeah I felt SJ with that statement lost a lot of respect for that, did his Co Hosts call him out? Maybe in the top 50% of 7's would be a more realistic comment.

Cleary, Boyd :D, Walker (over rated IMO but no way he would start over him), Fogerty, Brown, Dearden, Katoa, Hynes, Doueihi, Hughes, Moses. That's 11.
"You'se got what you wanted." Club legend for sure, but I've always felt that Sj has been a bit fickle with his attitude towards fans. SJ himself had a rep at times for not being a through and through team player.

I think there has been enough to read between the lines from Webby and the club statement to see that there is some frustration with the Metcalf camp. Without context I don't buy the family first stuff.

But meh, A committed Luke until the end of the year now that this is all sorted is all good for me. He's got a point to prove now and I think he will.

All of this will be character building for the Warriors Management, Luke, his team mates, and the fan base. Everyone must forgive and forget ourselves included.

Luke can only do one thing now. Play like a demon and earn our respect through his deeds on and off the field between now and the end of the season. Everything that needs to be said has now been said. What’s done is done. Now he has to prove himself worthy of his team mates and the Wahs fan base respect again after poorly handling the last month or so. Just send it son.

I personally was not fussed about the whole Metcalf drama. Only care about us winning in October. Looking at how the team played and how tight they were on the field this has not impacted them at all. With Metcalf I only expect for him to be the professional NRL player he is. If he can also straighten up the attack more than he did last year then that would be a bonus.
