If debates were had in the dictionary we'd all be in the library.
Even if I agreed with your list, how can two generational talents debut 4 years apart? Or are we calling a generation 4 years?

If we compare to basketball, I’d consider the once in a generation talents Jordan, LeBron and Wemby.

The term loses its meaning if you have a once in a generation talent every few years.

Wow!

Did Leka know Ali was going short side? Did he call it himself as he wrapped? Was this a planned move they had trained? Practised together from NSW cup? If he created an overlap on the wing did he back his speed?

The why is fascinating!

He could be deadly as a centre with his attacking ability.

Webby in an interview mentioned it was a formation they had done in training.

I also thought Leka in the centres would be deadly, he is quite nuggety but doesn't only have power but also good feet.
I guess the argument can be made that if he plays second row he will get one on ones outside, however you might get slightly better opportunities at centre.

Willie Mason pointed out something similar on the Levels Network Podcast about that play. How everyone pushed out one spot like they are supposed to, but also a lot of teams might not at that stage of the game under fatigue.

It is good seeing our side talked about for little details. Let's hope it continues.

As mentioned it's policy for the backrowers to move to the edges as the wingers move in to take early hit ups.

What hasn't been mentioned (until SJ pointed it out) it would seem Tauapiki has played the critical role here, counting numbers recognizing Tigers were short on the short side, and sweeping that way and passing, instead of just tucking the ball under the arm doing the normal early winger hit up.

Great vision young man.

Also, he may be too expensive for the Sky team but God it would be great having SJ break this stuff down in live time as it happens....that insight would add soo much to gameday.

Also big raps to Ali, gets to dh quick and acts like a good 9. Too many times we’ve seen players big and strong like Ali, lack the finesse and touch. Kata would have run himself back up through the middle 😂

I mentioned it in another post, we are starting to see high footy iq plays from us. Counter attack tries, or picking out players, attacking an injured defenders side. It’s really great to see.

3 tries of flare on both sides of the park and through the middle.

Good teams do that to beatable teams (which the Tigers are).

I suspect we will not score points in that way against the Storm. Looking forward to seeing us grind away with them.

This is what youth do bro, they go for opportunities. Remember when we played and you see something and go for it. The old school probably play it safe and get to the kick. We are starting to build some x-factor, and the youth experience blend is developing.

According to Webby in an interview the day after - that is the shape when starting from kickoff with the edge backrower out on the wing which I thought was interesting.
