At the end of the day our right edge is largely free money. So adding in another question mark in Ali isn't going to do us any favours.

We're in a bit of a rock and hard place. Niukore is causing issues with his lateral, Tanah isn't CHT, Ali has question marks, and DWZ does DWZ things.

Happy to roll with the safe route in Capewell. Be nice if Berry could stop taking mandated holidays every two games so we could get some continuity. That right edge has been a revolving door for combinations all season.

Ali was pretty good in the first half of NSW that he played last week and was marking Taylan May.
Things turned to shit in the second half when he was off. Probably just a coincidence?
If he’s not considered ready I would play Fatialofa.
We just can’t keep defaulting Capewell to centre.

I don't understand all this love for Capewah as a centre. Does a great job but the guy is a back rower and sure filling in there during a game if there is an injury is great but doesn't it make a mockery of next man up?
Surely there are other centre options? (I know there are)

I think that the thinking is he will bring some starch to the defense on his edge

He, Pompey and Berry pins the opposite wingers in the 20m corner, the others have a mockery of a chase game letting them start their sets at 30-40m line and we lose the territory game defending bombs too much ie raiders and panthers games

He also destroys opposite centre’s attack, Herbie, Staggs were put on their backs when they had the ball, you sacrifice a bit of sweep attack to DWZ but you shut down that edge on defense completely

To me it makes a mockery of what Webby is saying about next man up. Capewell is a back rower, signed on as such and a good one. Bit like locking CNK into the fullback role when we know there are others that could possibly play there just as well if not better. Big call, but to me Kurt would be in the 2nd row and Ali in at centre

they should just put Eddie Ieremia Toeava at centre, theyve had him at 18th man a few times and surely they been meaning to deput him at some point, copy what Melbourne do with Howarth and put a young fast second rower to centre, its not like EIT hasnt played there before, and he did well there during preseason trial.... I wanted him to come in against the panthers but they played MGT instead.... I could see this switch up on game day, watch this space, get it done webby...

It was funny reading Leeds Rhinos forum while researching Gannon. Posters talking about Sam Lisone in his last year and how the do not want him extended because they are sick of players who only perform in contract year with a handful of big games.

Kinda sums up where we went wrong in the past, allowing guys who cut corners through to first grade before making them earn it. Leeds had David Fusitua on their books too.

We have to stop building these incomplete units at the Warriors and make it a pre requisite that FG comes with no short cuts.
