Team List Knights v Warriors - [Round 20, 2025]

I think its just recognizing his form for the season, i cant see him debuting over toeava.
I see it as an easing in, have him around the NRL boys for a week, maybe two, see what NRL's like. Prep, rehab, nutritition, media...
Then he goes back to NSW, told to work on whatever.
He works on that Whatever, he's suddenly in the 17. Debut Time.
I always regard the NSW Cup and making players ready for NRL as a bit of NSW/NRL/NSW/NRL chop-and-changing as appropriate to the player and their development.
Prime example is The More Talanted Cleary. Total disaster to promote him to NSW and then so quickly to have him around the NRL Team. Slow and steady. Especially as the promotion was unexpected - if it was going to happen at some time this season, I don't think anyone anticipated it happening now and for so long...

Ali was pretty good in the first half of NSW that he played last week and was marking Taylan May.
Things turned to shit in the second half when he was off. Probably just a coincidence?
If he’s not considered ready I would play Fatialofa.
We just can’t keep defaulting Capewell to centre.

Taine
Dallin
Ali or Fatialofa
Pompey(the one constant) Has he played the most games in the last 3 seasons.
RTS
CHT
Boyd
JFH
Egan
Ford
Capewell
Laban
Clark

TMM
Leka
Demi
TSS

Before someone says “where is Niukore”.
The answer is;
Who would you drop from my team?
Nah, Capewah to centre, Ali is out of favour and Fatialofa is not ready for FG. He needs more Cup. Niukore is a starter for sure. We need as much experience as possible and he and Fish are our enforcers especially with Barnett out.

I'm more comfortable with Capewell at Centre than others. No more than 18 points conceded when he's played there this year, an average of 13.5 & all wins. At Centre I don't see him offering much different to Berry offensively. Not quite as agile but would have scored in the identical situation Berry did last weekend. Berry ain't dished up a single Try Assist in his last 11 games & only has 2 in his last 23 games so we ain't losing any distribution skills.
Fatialofa over Kosi is a weird selection when Ali & EIT are already on the bench meaning if RTS or DWZ went down at training then Pompey is the only other genuine Wing option unless they'd consider TMM to #1 & Tuaupiki onto a Wing

Where is taufa?
Very good point. Fatialofa's name on the NRL team list doesn't actually link to his Warriors profile but if you search his name on NRL site there is a NRL & NSW Cup profile. Graham-Taufa just has a NSW one.
Manly has 33 profiles on their website & the Titans 34 so it's no certainty he has a Top 30 contract but looks more & more that way

Knights get beaten up through the middle almost every week. They know this is their weakness which is why they shift the ball to their left side every chance they get. Our right side apparently leaks 52% of our pts, so we will need to shut down that edge. Capewell on the edge is therefore ideal for me. Defense on the left edge is more important than attack for this game because the leftward shift is literally the only trickshot the Knights have.

Great understanding and observation.
Helps me when watching the game.
Good stuff.

Test for Capewah this weekend
Bradman Best
If we secure top 4
I’d be chucking in some young centres
Giving Laban and Healey more minutes
He's outplayed Herbie, Valentine Holmes, Jesse Ramien, Kotoni Staggs in his previous outings at center. Capewah will be in Best's face all day and will shut down that edge, forcing the game back into the middle of the field where we have the advantage.

Knights will come out firing in the first half given the media speculation over their coach and KP. If we weather that early storm, we should be able to come over the top of them at the back end of the game. Our patient game style is too much for the lower teams like Parra, Newcastle who struggle to play 40 mins, let alone 80.
