Social Introducing NZW Ultimate Team

TBH theres been lots of players that have had good games for the warriors. But the ratings are based on their overall time spent at the time. and more skewed towards longer serving players. So tbh they would be better, but not by that much.
Fair and a good call on your part.

Changing question - is it possible to make injured players stand out more for non selection? All I can see for a couple of mine (2 injuries from 1 practice session - wtf) is minor injury in brackets. Looks like I could still play them

Those players have minor injuries and can still play. You can choose to rest them to fully heal or risk them potentially missing some games. But yes they are available to play.

Players who are unavailable to play cannot be selected as they will be grayed out from selection. For players with MINOR INJURIES upto you to choose how far to push them. Just like the NRL, players with injuries can and do play if its a minor niggle etc.

Is there an approximate probability from your simulations of a worse injury for a player with a 1 week injury, or is it more about not having them practice that week & should be fine to play?

There is a risk of playing a player with a minor injury. I just checked and a player who is playing in the game with a minor injury has :
- double the chance of getting injured per tackle than other players
- 30% change the injury could worsen

Its a decision that teams will have to make through the season, either wait for players to be fully injury free or play players in must win games etc. It also interacts with your salary cap i.e. chase guest stints or have salary cap available to get players from the free agency in should an injury crisis occur - without having to shed a highly salaried player etc.

Would a player with a 2 week minor injury, be any less likely to be injured in Week 2 than in Week 1?

No - Not currently and unlikely to be implemented this season but can be looked at next season. A minor injured player faces the same elevated risk regardless of how many rounds are left on the injury. The risk comes from playing through the injury at all, not from how fresh the injury is.

BTW there are some changes coming to the trade proposals.

Right now the team rejecting/accepting may leave a message and it doesnt get shown (or more to the point i have never seen it - maybe my trades were not worthy of a message lol) so that will be fixed. Along with that a few more impactful changes:
- teams are currently not able to counter the offer, or see the real time impact on their salary cap when they select/deselect players or add cash components to the trade.

Please do not do trades for next hour or so whilst this is being done.

I had left you a message earlier

That’s sad because I’ve definitely replied to your trades. I left messages detailing how fair and amazing they were and that’s why it was so hard to reject them all.

Ok the changes:

In the trade proposal screen, when you select/deselect players for forming the trade, you now see a real time impact of the salary cap between both teams. It will tell you if either team is going to be over the cap as a result and if the trade can be sent or not.

Trade Rejection/Acceptance Messages.

You now see messages for the trade.

I still need to see if the counter trade works. Can someone please send me a trade? Make it a good fair one (i wont click accidentally accept ;))

You can resume doing trades. When you receive a trade offer, you can now counter (a counter offer button will appear between accept and reject trade), and provide information in the messages in the trade screen. System will allow upto 5 counters before deciding teams are far too apart and at that point will just give accept/reject option.

You can also see history of counters etc as well.

You can also reject or confirm earlier if you want as well in you think the trade is suitable/not interested in progressing any further.

There are rumours that an earth shattering 12 player + cash component deal is in the works between two combatants of the first round. Its yet to be seen if this mammoth trade will be passed through before the first round gets under way. Until then its up in the air which side of the ruck each player mooted in the trade will be playing come wednesday.

I very much liked the look of a 12 player trade. 10 not so much. Childs play

Dont try to send me shitty players for my starters then :P

I hope you realise how much flexibility you will be gaining from this trade. Dont mess it up with your next move ;)

Flexibility, a 2.8 rating drop and less versatility in my squad. A bit to ponder.
I do really like the new features around trades though. Very user friendly
