Glad that we won and at the end of the day, two points is two points, but that last 15 minutes or so was pretty janky tbh.

I am hoping that Webby will be able to teach some of these spine players to pass the ball when we have numbers, cos we are definitely leaving points out there at the moment with the likes of Tuaupiki last week and Healy this week; I know it hasn't been the difference between winning and losing so far, but one of these days that lack of distribution is gonna cost us games.

What i did really enjoy about this game was the dwz-ali edge defence. I thought they did a great job shutting down raids on their edge.

Dallin took a kick off return too 😂 Inspiring, if we are not trying to sign anyone major next year I hope he finishes his contract next year, he’s playing his best right now even better than 2023

222 points scored in 7 games, wonder if that is our best attacking start to any seasons?

If Egan was playing in Australia the state of origin drums would be beating. He had always been great but has gone to another level now that he gets a decent spell each game
Egans been talked up for S.O.O this time of the year for probably the last 2/3 seasons. Its weird cause every time he does he goes off the boil so personally im just as happy the drums havent been beating as loud this year.

Attack stat wise probably coinciding with one of the highest opening points scoring seasons ever due to the speed of play through the increased focus on the 6 again rule

Haven’t you learned
Women are always right.
Even when they are not
I m surrounded by daughters sisters wife ex wife a 99 yo mother and yep they are always right
I have the same female environment.
Except the 99yo mother inlaw.
But I hate them all🙄.

True, but we are in 2nd for attack, which would very rare.

We have had more flair and second phase play at times in our history but i don’t know that our structured attack has ever looked this good..

That wind was a HUGE factor. Boyd couldn’t get any distance as it picked up after halftime. Gusting over 50km an hour!

Frankly we had titans on toast at minute 69 when they score a freak lucky try from a dropped ball and tap on - freakish and super unlucky.

Bomb try was nuts but we should have competed for it - instead we let them play hot potato and it come off.

The last try was shit marker defence.

So Titans score flattered them as we outplayed them. That said discipline wasn’t ideal in the second half and CNK was ok but had a pretty ugly knock. That thing was travelling like a tracer bullet and he could have let it bounce and go dead.

No matter. We bank another win.the dub and 2 points is all that matters.

Two more games to a bye. Anzac round in the 04 against a dolphins side who have had to go to Darwin and play in tropical heat before going to Welly… and playing in sub 10 degrees temps without Kodi.

Let’s keep banking wins. More good from that game than not.

Dont disagree.

The subtle changes in our attack through a lot more promotion of the ball/short passing between our forwards, and halves linking together on our shifts taking effect.

All made possible through our comp leading set completions and possession stats

Well, you gotta win ugly sometimes.

Very Happy with the 5-2 record, even if that -2 was against two teams I'd not expected - and as always, you're feeling "We lost to them?!" right now, but as the season goes on, you might go "Yep, they're building something!" (ie Penrith Panthers 2003).

Can we get some Japanese people in, remind them what the Dolphins did in 1945, get them to get revenge??

Good win in the end, first half was near perfect.
2nd half in perspective we were running into a decent wind against a team that put 50 on last week. We were backing up from a high against the Storm which I think caught up with us last 20, possession always evens up and we had the game won by then.
All in all a good win against a team that has troubled us recently- I’ll take that
