Capewell really proving his doubters wrong this year. Sure 2024 was a rough year for him, but it was for everyone in the team. These last few weeks are demonstrating why Webby pushed so hard to get him to us. Not just his work on the ball but his experience off it. LM mentioned in his fox interview that Capewell was the one who went up to him and suggested going for the field goal. His experience playing in big stages like grand finals and SOO is starting to become known in these clutch situations. If ever both Barney and JFH were to be out for us, which is entirely possible during origin, he's my next pick for captain.
Who
Do you think JFH will play for? Is Kohukohu in origin now?

Geez we enjoy doing things the hard away. Can’t we just pump a team for once or put it way out of reach early? Beggars can’t be choosers I suppose, and in reality, when I look at the games where there has been big comebacks in the second half, it shows we can really dig deep and hang in there.

A big part of me is concerned about the +1pd, but when I analyse it a bit deeper, we have had some big outs over the last few weeks, so to keep winning at all without them has been remarkable. I would hope that once we get more of our first choice starter’s returning, we may click more into gear.

It was heartening to hear Webby and Mitch both allude to being happy with the win but not the performance. Also stating (not in a cliched way either), that we have a lot of improvement in us. They are being honest and tempered in their approach.

All I wanted out of this season was a solid season where we may scrape into the 8 and for our young guns to get plenty of game time. At the moment it’s exceeding that which is exciting. The future is most definitely bright.
On the points diff alone we're in bizarro world with us and the Panthers swapping places on the ladder ... there's a symmetry there anyway, winning where they're finding a way to drop games, young halves, loss of senior players etc.

It's a hard watch at times but we're building into something. The game last night we had to deal with the slight feralness of the cheap rakes in most tackles (some picked up and penalised, a lot missed or ineffective - gutho tries to lever it out in every tackle), cheap shots like de bellin on wade (not illegal, but come on, was a shitty play) and just being worked at by a dangerous team - so pretty happy with that in the end - we'll be tougher for it and much more ready for the dogs when we face them

A win is a win bro! We've been winning ugly all year

Really, sets our season up.... second win away from home can we do it again at Suncorp, will be another close one IMHO .. how longs Ali out for we need him back RTS hope he's not as rusty as DWZ that guy was more of a liability than asset tonight stressed every time it went to his side and I'm not in the TT fan club ..

JFH another we need back to boost the pack
I think Ali is out for 3-4 weeks but the real problem is in the pack (TMM playing at lock) Welcome back Fish
