It’s a testament to the surgery because I’m sure I read a post yesterday morning I couldn’t understand very well from watcher? Definitely something really important vision and something that can be taken for granted. As mentioned, I’m reliant on spectacles, compulsory for driving in my case
I got mine done early -could have waited another seven years.
Went private with health insurance in Qld out of pocket expense $6000.
Figured it will never be cheaper so got it done early.
Surgeons as we know continually move their pricing up to fund their lifestyles.
Having said that the guy who did my eye was brilliant.

I just wish hearing could be fixed- hearing aids only do a half arse job

Eyes (by two cataracts)

Don't forget the Raiders-beat us up in Vegas and currently in 3rd position (and we play them in Canberra; always tough to beat)
I think we are all reading way too much into the Vegas game. Sure, the Raiders were great, as they always are to start seasons, but we just weren't up mentally/physically for that game. It's happened to every team at some pt during this season already. We'll be ready for them when they come to mt smart.

From the Broncos Origin Facebook page.
Referee in his warriors jersey 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hard case hearing CNK congratulate Pompey calling him his darling
I love the expression hard Case as far as i know it is one of the very few Kiwi only expressions that are not based on Te Reo.
It was used in the 1970s prevalently and your use of it here is the first I have seen in ten years.
I have heard different takes on what it means. Does it mean to you
a) Quirky bizarre humour that is still funny
b) Slap stick humour
c) Ironic Humour

A lot of different settings where it fits. Someone can be a hard case fulla, which I use as someone with a good sense of humour. A situation can be a hard case and I use that one probably in the ironic setting you’ve mentioned. I suppose I’ve used it here in a humour sense as it reminds of Blackadder and captain darling

First time I've heard league players call each other "my darling". What is Andrew Webster doing to us?

Man it’s pretty shocking ready the social threads on this game. Broncos fans only calling out the refs. Fuck, I wouldn’t mind if they did give it to us, but from memory, hunt dropped the ball, Reece cocked up the kick, Reynolds kicked it out on the fall. They had a lot of errors & boy wonder at the back got injured in the first 5 minutes……..maybe this is what a storm fan feels like every week

The Taine tackle in the in goal they have a proper grievance about - shocking call. Taine knew it too. That was a clutch play rubbed out by an incorrect call.

But, this is the game. They got the Shibasaki tackle penalty which was dubious and the other call when dragging TMM into touch was fair, I thought his momentum stopped which is why it needed an extra (and obvious) drag.

Broncs fans I think are struggling with the fact that they should be challenging for premierships but really they are now in a top 8 scrap.
Paid overs for Walsh at the back who quite frankly looks totally washed - this injury layoff probably comes at a good time for him because he was not far from being dropped.

Watched the full replay again and I think we are possibly being quite harsh on attack

It actually looks better than live when we have the emotion and desperation of wanting to score.

We attacked multiple channels, both sides. I think we have have improved on last year

Still a long way to go but I think............... I can see progress (y)

As a fan who has been vocal about the dud calls we get from the ref over the years, I think we got massive home town favouritism this game, particularly in the first half.

Some rough late calls like the knock on try, but overall most of the 50/50 calls I thought went our way.

I would have been frustrated as a Broncos fan!

Horo from the levels network throwing shade at us again. Says we have close to the worst roster in the nrl, even worse than the tigers. Tries to spin it as a complement for webby saying he is getting us to perform above where we should be (ie bottom 4 in his view). Yet he wonders why we have a 'little brother' mentality.

He's not far off the mark, looking at our team list last week. We lack any real stars or real game breakers. Our halves are still bottom 8 level, maybe bottom 4. But we probably have one of the deepest rosters when fully fit, and potentially the best set of young forwards coming through.

This feels like a building year, like 2023 did, and we're out performing the squad atm.

I cannot agree more. Infact, it's happened over all of our home games this year.

Though, there was a point, earlier in the year, where the media were talking about the low win rate of travelling teams. Channel Nine commentators picked the Tigers, against us, 'purely' on this reason.
