General Celebrating the Warriors Late Wins

snake77

We used to have a thread celebrating our late wins with last minute tries or late field goals, famous comebacks.

This weekends win is a good reason to bring it back. We have had a few late tries or drop goal break our hearts the last few years. Let's reminisce on when we were on the better side of it.

The last 7 minutes from Channel 9. Or as the thumbnail puts it the Gods are from Aotearoa.

I was trying to find the game when Shaun Johnson got those late field goals against the Raiders. I remember another game at home against the Raiders recently.

Forgot about this one in golden point.

The Raiders must have dread him at the death going for a match winner. He was good in those clutch moments and has provided some great memories with late match winners.

Yeah just pretty much post SJ's highlights. The amount of clutch moments in
that is ridonkulous!

He did it to the Sharks numerous times including his last ever game, the Penrith one where he waltz's straight through the middle, the 9s tournament against the Bronc's, and the droppies to nail the Raiders....a thing of beauty. As he has said of often tho....you really have to want to be the dude in that situation....he wanted it, Metcalf wants it.....you either shine or shy away in those situations

Tanah wants it, he wants it bad. But can he do it, or is he kidding himself? History will tell us in this thread.

Bulldogs have replaced Sexton because they don’t see he’s the person to steer their attack and own big moments, Boyd feels like he’s a similar sort of player at this point. He’s won against us for titans in big moments so he’s got it in him. Metcalf has it, it’s just staying healthy being the issue

There was another one in Newcastle. The mid 2000's. It was either when Kemp was coach or early in Clearys term.

Back then I didn't have Sky and would head down to a bar to watch the games.

We were watching a Knights game and my wife was asking why I wasn't nervous as they were losing with a few minutes to go. It just felt like had momentum and would eventually get it.
