Well we do have the metrics of All CHT and Metcalfs games and how when we faced the big boys in the top four they fkd us over without even an introduction...just straight bend over and take it....and lets be honest....there is no way that Metcalf and CHT sides looked even close to Penrith, Brisbane, or Melbourne.

This current style of play orchestrated by Boyd actually looks like we could go toe to toe vs the real teams you have to beat to get into that Premiership window.
My point of contention is not that the difference from last year to this is not Tanah is doing better than Luke.

We saw Boyd in the finals last year.
Bloody hell the difference is shocking. Like we all knew what he lacked and hoped but probably didn't believe he'd realise his balls were actually big enough the whole time and just back himself and pull the trigger. He's now the little half that could.

Last year he had regurgitation issues and kept shrinking when the moments came for him.

Most of us harped on it, as it did the commentators. Boyd’s problem was entirely psychological. He had all the tools, school boy half in a team full of future stars.

People must have forgot I was a big supporter of Boyd’s last year even when we were dropping games. I’m stoked for him that he’s found another gear.

But as with Barnett, Buy Low Sell High as someone mentioned. Look how well our outcasts have done… Boyd, Barnett, Ford etc. We just picked up another in Tia. Being renowned for taking troubled talent and producing a star is an unbelievable accomplishment for a club.

To be fair he did choke a simple conversion and last week, right in front missed a penalty. That choke gene is still there hidden in the depths of his conscience

But he was riding the wave of confidence thanks to forward momentum of our pack.
Canberra were struggling to get back I'm actually alittle surprised Egan couldnt capitalise on dummy half runs the way Healey did.

There's every possibility that Metcalf comes back and looks infinitely better, as he's a high skill player.

In what universe is this?

He was clunky as F at the start with his cross field running and inability to link up smoothly with the backs
Also remember hes not a natural half
He finally found his grove but really it was more one off, support play and finding holes to hit.....
Boyd doesnt do any of that but hes a perfect pivot for structure and getting the ball out wide

LM, Boyd or CHT - not a fan of any, but happy they keep proving me wrong...

Just went on to the NRL ladder predictor.... if we win the rest of our games by our average 29 points for the first two, we'll finish the season with a point diff of over 660. There's your goal for the year boys!!!

Also we have won two games in succession. All we have to do is repeat that 11 and a half times this season plus 2 byes and we'll be unbeaten premiership winners and have at least a 660 differential if we win them all by 29 points.
It's a simple recipe for success when you start breaking it down

Fair or not. The evidence sits squarely in his improvement argument.

I'm as superlative as the next dude on this performance and I really want this team to keep focus and keep doing the things that are getting us in the position to put 34 - zip hurt on the former minor premiers - for me that's the fitness and discipline in the ruck on both sides of the ball... again we frustrated the heck out of their alphas, (legally) caused them to lose their shit - was wonderful to see that patient and confident game being played in the middle - it's from here Boyd is being given time and Metcalf is going to benefit from that too - we've got something here - it's sustainable and extremely effective - said prior to the game we'd run straight through them and this is exactly what I meant - it's enabled again by that hard-nosed scramble on the line too... there was a 5min period just before the half when you could see the raiders sort of realise that they didn't have the thing which was going to get them over, then we had an error and actually released pressure for a moment ... was a testament to the game plan focus and leadership that we came back after the half and applied that again until they broke

Minor correction sir

They scored the first try

0-6

I bet you lot were here we go again….

Until we proceeded to score the next 40 points

40-0 💪

blessings 🙏

i'd take that minor correction every day... by the way, what happened there when they scored ? Looked at that several times and concluded it was just numbers, which was a fuck up and, likewise, corrected

100% with you on that one, rising tides raise all ships is us in 2026.

Have seen it mentioned a bunch that all Boyd needed was some confidence. Cool, so what happens when the confidence dissapears for whatever reason.

I'm taking a rock solid every week CHT. Might not be a lofty 9 or 10, but you are getting a solid 7 off the back of tough defence and being busy around the ball with effort.

That left edge looked solid defensively last week as well as scoring points.

For me personally at least currently the battle is between Boyd and Metcalf.

Ah you’ve forgotten the early days of CHT when his confidence was shot and he was making no look passes to the sidelines and missing simple conversions

Then he took time off to get his head straight and hasn’t looked back since

Getting KO’d last night could have an affect on his psyche going forward

Prove me wrong CHT 🙏

Cool bro, I would never suggest the reason we are winning is exclusively Boyd.

All my posts about his form focus on why our attack has finally clicked, and for my part yes it is him orchestrating that switch....that is his job....he is a seven, the organizer of a Rugby League team (not telling you how to suck eggs).

CHT was on fire last week, massive contribution to that attack....but he isn't the organizer right, he is the pivot.

You have to start at the 1st receiver to get a good understanding of where the Warriors have had issues with unlocking their players, these guys haven't got faster or change their dna in an off season, these are the same blokes that were struggling in the past because half the time they look like they don't know what to do when they get the ball.

I think the reason Webster has them throwing the ball around is because Tanah at training gives them that stability and direction to allow for free attack.
