We were outplayed pure and simple: we needed brisbane to be off and we had to be perfect to win this game. We had our moments and showed our class in attack when we had chances but in the end Brisbane were way too physical and too much strike for us out wide. Refs can't hide that reality. In some sense the result is a good relection of where we are at: we have pretty much been the 3rd or 4th best team in the comp overall this year. But we need to go up another notch next year to challenge for the GF. Webby's challenge for next year but let's not lose sight of our achievements for this year. Brisbane have had 3 years to build up to this point. Just imagine where we will be with Webby in 2025.

Hard to stomach that one after the amazing season we had. First half was fair play both ways, but that Mam try has been called no try every game this year - and the double forward pass try was just a motivation killer.
