Just catching some of the reply & want to make note a very small effort play that goes unnoticed but though was worthy of a mention. CHT kicks the penalty with 20 to go out in front & TMM chases the kick. 4 converted tries up & the effort to still want to chase a penalty kick is such a small thing. The effort really shows how well invested the players are to the cause this year!

Don't know if this was mentioned but I liked how Capewell made a pt of going up to AKP after the game and pumping him up. AKP clearly had an off game with the BS sin bin and dropping the ball for a certain try. Certainly wasn't due to a lack of trying. Everyone has an off-game and looked as though his confidence might have taken a hit. So it was good to see Capes reassure him in that way.

Everyone talks about JFH and Barney but Capewell is just as invaluable as a leader of our team. I'm certainly open to him sticking around for another year.
Yeah I saw that.

On that alone we need to extend Capewell, I see he was the second man to talk in the pre game huddle too. We need that leadership and mentoring.

Going against the grain but I had AKP having a great game. I prefer his attempted intercepts to Dallin's no mans land stationing as the ball gets to their wing and teams go the length of the field.

I guarantee the Broncos thought AKP was a bastard who wrecked their come back.

Pompey is useful at jamming the oppositions lanes too, except with AKP he is gonna catch one in five and score.

The whole point about AKP knocking those balls on is that we have the team that can defend those sets of tackles, in the past we were dammed if we did and dammed if we didn't.
Probably AKP has one moment to be down about and that was one dropped ball on the fly that looked gettable, but it wasn't a sweet heart pass.

I also was thrilled to see him get binned for actually levelling someone and laying them out flat. Long may that continue (not the binning the agro).

Have to admit I got a bit nervous with CHT kicking after Canberra debacle in 2024. Good to know he's worked on his kicking. But it raises the bigger question of who to give the kicking duties to long term without Tanwah. Our wingers are scoring a lot of our pts this year and we need someone who can slot the sideline conversion on a somewhat regular basis. I'm thinking we give the kicking duties back to Pompey.

CHT showed he could be that kicker, at the least sideline kicks in his favored side

Broncos fan started it no doubt
Just watched it on facecrack.

Ugly stuff, doesn't show who started it. Ah well you put thousands of people together and supply alcohol, eventually something will happen.
Dude put some shots into the Donkeys head before he got head locked.

I hope this Tanah situation moves the Warriors to hire a kicker or bump one of the little boys up fast and get on with it.

It would have been the typical - "how many premierships have the Warriors won" quips no doubt.

If you watch his YouTube channel he goes golfing with?

10. Ford
6. Chitty
4. Pompey

So that's basically that left edge while they were playing together. Kurt's good value in so many ways.

It’s hard to truely get an impartial view of the refs performance when you’re a fan of one of the teams.

From our perspective it did feel like the Broncs were on the receiving end a bit, not saying it wasn’t justified it was quite possibly just their own poor discipline.
On their end I thought the AKP penalty where the second effort put him into touch (which looked like his own doing) and the Taine hold after the break were lucky calls for us. Where Walsh had to go off for an HIA whereas Egan didn’t was a bit of an inconsistency.

For us thought they were lucky to escape a bin on the hip drop, we’re pretty quick to rule out the Ford try when they took an age to try and find a reason to award that broncos one and I did feel he peeled back the penalties a bit in the second half when their discipline didn’t particularly improve.

Overall I think we had the better side of the ref this week but the Broncos fan reaction (NSWRL conspiracy, matching the team off the field etc) was over the top particularly given historically how both teams have fared with officiating.
It is a bit of an insight into how we can react as a fan base when things don’t go our way. I hope this noise doesn’t get us a ref hammering though
Totally agree, hard not to be biased when you're a fan.

.I do think the Egan vs Walsh wasn't any form of bias. Egan jumped as quick as he could whereas Walsh not so much. I think Egan should have been pulled off for his sake... and if he passed the assessment it's just a rest for him and free sub for us. Did Walsh try to milk a penalty there?... I can't remember. .. but surely you can't stay down then get upset you're off for an hia.

Yeah it is a double-edged sword. You have to take the consequences either way.
