Okay, I didn't really track SBW's boxing career.
Yeah Botha TKOd him in round eight of a ten round fight....Williams etc changed the rules to call it an eight round fight of which Williams was ahead on points.....Willams wins while Botha who was on downers and pot casts a sad figure yelling at them that it is ten round fight....

Worst cheating in NZ sports history...bar none.....

I hated SBW after that, corrupt Muslims or Christians that push their beliefs as public figures and do that sort of shit are my least favorite people in this world.

Ugly fight but I thought sbw done enough to get the win.
Gallen was trying to close the distance but has no footwork or head movement so just puts his head down and charges in- sbw probably could’ve let his hands go a bit more- uppercuts were on but tbh he probably thought he was ahead on points so didn’t need to take any risks.
The crowd seemed a bit shocked when the decision was read out.
Crazy how all three judges could see it so differently- Khoder Nasser had a few choice words for them before exiting the ring haha- the sbw camp definitely thought they had it won.

My interest in this fight went like this. I'm keen to see who wins and watch the highlights but after that Green/Mundine fight years ago that started at some ridiculous time I'm not watching cards from Australia. Making it a PPV meant it was an easy skip.

That changed to I'll check it out in the morning. Other events if I get up in the night I'll check out the news and head back to bed. This fight I totally forgot about.

A fight that should have happened 3-4 years ago.

They both haven't had a fight since 2022. Even after he had retired from football, SBW was barely active. Gallen had 3 fights in 2021 and 4 fights in 2022, but even that period is littered with a lot of fights against ex footballers. Yes it's activity but it also high high-profile fights to earn money. These ex-footballers aren't going to toil away on small cards or on the undercard. I can understand that due to age and what they are used to being paid. The fights are sold off their name value. It does mean watching pretty amatuerish fights.

A shame the Dubois vs Parker fight didn't go ahead when it was scheduled. It could have been Parker fighting for the undisputed title tomorrow.

The advantage of having a belt. Dubois pulled out of the fight and can move on to a higher profile fight.

Anyone watch the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 card on Netflix?

I've only seen highlights of their first fight. I watch the second which was another great fight. This one was a more tactical fight instead of a shoot out.

Ellie Scotney who bet Mea Motu was on the undercard. Pretty much did what she did to Motu. Got in and out of range and out boxed her opponent.

Had a fighter who trains with Fury on the undercard. She was coming off a long lay off. Looked good the first few rounds but was getting hit with hard shots in the later rounds. She sounded like Fury in the post match interview complaining about travelling over here and only getting x amount of rounds.

It was a pretty good all female card.

Fight three fizzled out.

Unfortunately they were over coached, Serano's crew wanted her to fight at distance with straight one two punches to avoid head clashes. Taylors crew kept telling her to stay out of the zone and use her speed to counter punch, score and get out.

The result was two tentative low work rate low action fighters who really looked like they wanted to get into it and mix it up but held off.

Yeah it was tactical but poor even in a tactical sense due to lack of activity...I mean I am happy to watch good fighters box people, provided they are busy with the Jab and follow through, and the footwork is there to give you something to admire.

After the first two fights, two of the best ever in any form of boxing, it was shit house.

LOL usually the english cards finish late morning. Thought I was doing good for time getting the groceries done early.

Got home thinking I was early. Get a stream to see Usyk after the fight and have to find the results.

I don't think this is a Turki Alalshikh card. His usually end up on YouTube 24 hours later.

Before the first knockdown he got him with a good shot in the corner. Then again after the knockdown he got him with a good shot straight away.

The finish was a bit weird. He got to 9 then tried to get up. Then just walked to the corner. Joshua has his flaws but you can't say he doesn't go out on his shield.

Before the fight I saw Usyk say he could be friends with a lot of his previous opponents. Asked about Dubois he said no. Now that could be to sell the fight or he was pissed about all of the talk on the low blow from the first fight and Dubois calling him a cheat.

I did see some good analysis before the fight where someone pointed out on the low blow that Dubois does that often when he's under pressure. Also seen pointed out on Dubois' defence is that he relies on getting out of range. He doesn't really block. Against Usyk it's going to be hard getting out of range.
