I haven't had an active Netflix account for a few years, but got suckered back in (literally signed back up during the brutal womens bout) 😅 at least I can offset it by finally stopping my WWE Network payment given that's now basically going to Netflix!

Was a disappointing fight, but not unexpected. Put a couple of cheeky fivers for Tyson to win in first 60s/first round on the offchance he would pull out an early big hit, but alas not to be. If he wasn't gonna floor Jake with a big hook, I'm at least glad he didn't get knocked down himself. Fight in the end was a little bit sad, but not as sad as if he had been left laying on the floor.

Anyone watch the Usyk vs Fury rematch?

A different fight to the first one which had some swings in momentum. Fury thought a different fight instead of getting backed up.

After the fight Daniel Dubois came in to try and hype a rematch. I can understand the thinking as it's a loss he can avenge and also a chance to be the undisputed champion. The timing is a bit off though as he needs to get through Parker first. It would have made more sense if he didn't have the Parker fight booked or had the Parker fight already.

Dubois vs Parker will be an interesting fight. Both have turned their careers around with good wins. Dubois with some high profile knockouts. The first two Miller and Hrgovic both took him deep into the fight and gassed. A good opportunity for Parker if he can survive the later rounds.

I’m loving the new version of Parker. Looks very hungry

I wonder if the Saudi's are making money off these events or if it is just sink money in to promote the region.

The fighter pay has increased to get these big fights/cards made. They have to pay the promoters. They are likely paying all of the boxing personalities and celebrities to come across plus promotion.

I am not sure what cut of the PPV DAZN takes. Traditionally the PPV company takes about 50%.

Then the real puzzling one after 24 hours Turki Alalshikh ends up putting the full fight up on YouTube. Sure, after 20 hours on YouTube it has 500k views but surely the ad revenue wouldn't compare to the PPV buys. I can understand putting it up on YouTube at some point and getting money off it instead of it stored in archives. Having them up so soon means if you can live with not seeing it live and can avoid spoilers you can watch it later for free.

I doubt anything will come of this and it will just be written off as frustration after losing. He is also close with Turki Alalshikh.

"You get nothing in these countries". I can understand the frustration he had after the Wilder draw in their first fight and thinking the Americans wanted an American champion.

This fight was on neutral ground. Usyk hasn't thought on home soil since 2015. He has beaten champions in their own country.

Anyone watching the Mea Motu fight?

Head clash in round 1. Scotney cut and Motu a bit of swelling from it.

Interesting fight so far. Scotney is faster and has got some good body shot in. Motu holding her own in the exchanges.

Yes, I am biased the other way from the commentators but to me the rounds are closer than they are making out. Hopefully if it goes to decision it is fair.

At least the Welsh commentator said her name. The others have started saying it.

Earlier she was "the opponent". That always comes off like you (the commentator) haven't done their homework.

Gone the distance. Scotney's fights have all gone the distance so not a total surprise if Motu couldn't get her away.

The scorecards shown during the fight by Tony Bellew had Motu winning two rounds.

I think a couple of the earlier rounds could have gone either way. Scotney was getting the better of it towards the end.

I haven't seen Motu fight for a while. It would be her toughest fight but she held her own.

I'm not across the undercard fighters. But the two main fights this weekend are intriguing.

Beterbiev vs Bivol 2
Dubious vs Parker

A big opportunity for Joseph Parker to be a two time world champion.

Both guys will be high on confidence after turning their careers around and getting some good wins.

Dubious has some good finishes in Miller, Hrgovic & Joshua. The first two gassed which hopefully Parker won't do. Joshua needed to keep his hands up. Hopefully Parker is on top of his game defensively.

Parker looked good against Wilder and Zhang. He got knocked down a few times vs Zhang. The first one looked to be partly the awkwardness of fighting a south paw. Still a good reminder to have his defence right as Dubious as some power.

I hope the talk coming out of Parkers' camp about his added weight being put on right, new conditioning coach, arriving in Saudi 3 weeks out to prepare, more mature is right. A huge accomplishment the winner could end up with a fight for the undisputed title.

A tough change of opponent for Parker.

I am not familiar with most of the names that were speculated. I have heard good things about Bakole, Adeleye, Okolie. Or seen where those three have been speculated to be lined up against a big name they come with reasons why they aren't interested.

Sure, he has a full camp but it is always dangerous to take someone at short notice. A tough situation as you have trained and want to fight. We also don't know what pressure goes on behind the scenes by the promotor to keep the card close to the schedule. You don't fight you don't get paid or as much. Or they become more difficult to work with in the future.

Beating Dubious would have meant an undisputed fight and a massive pay day. Now that gets delayed. If Usyk fights two more times the winner of Dubious vs Parker/Bakole fight could be his last as surely he will fight in between the re-scheduled fight.

Anthony Joshua has a glass jaw.

Everyone is knocking him out now that is clear to beat him all you have to do is land one decent punch to his head and his whole defense falls apart for the remainder of the fight.

Shame JP won't be fighting Dubious. He would have been a good match up, slow, flat footed, no defence but heavy Jab, heavy hooks. That would have suited JPs new footwork well.

Bakole is dangerous, most African fighters are. He is really good at measuring the distance, knows how to use his reach, throws triple left hooks, and probably worst for Parker he has fast hands for a tall fat guy.

Bakole uses his left hook like a jab, he will throw two light fast hooks which get the guard up then throw a straight right to the body, land clean throw a third left hook to the exposed head.

Gonna be a real nasty wiley opponent for Parker. Even though Bakole is a relative nobody, I think he is the best combination fighter in the heavy weights.

I have second screen going with stream of a group watching along. They had Parker losing round 1. I thought he did enough to win round 1 being busier and working his body early.

The ending they are debating hard. Round 2 Parker really did turn on the power. Even before the finish he was pushing things harder than round 1.

The finish. Yes, it would have been good to see what was like when Bakole got up. But his legs were shaky before he went down.

Great seeing Parkers' resurgence continue.

This main event will be interesting.

I didn't think the first fight was that bad of a decision. You could argue Bivol was counter punching but he also spent large parts of rounds not engaging as he felt Beterbievs' power and needed to get away.

I watched a breakdown of it recently and it looked like Bivol wasn't landing counters as much as people thought.

Bivol will need to be busier to get the decision this time.
