He's come a long way since he was that painfully shy kid, glad the club's persevered with him, huge achievement making 100 games in this brutal sport.
Agree with all the previous comments

He has his faults/negatives like all who play sport at this level however he contributes a lot to the Wahs

That try he scored against the Tigers was pure magic

Give us a few more Adam and you’ll get to 200 no trouble at all

We have had a few of these toiler Warriors that get bagged over the years but are 100% Warriors.

Pompey is a solid player.

And at Center that means something. And at a club with three decades almost of largely useless defenders at center it really says something.

Pompey is the man. You only need one shiney star center and one lock it down guy, Pompey is a lock it down guy.
and yet, there he is named on the wing... big ups to him for getting to 100 - have occasionally thought he might go well at 6 - i'm a fan of the guy, underrated, very solid, occasionally brilliant

I thought he started looking like a first grader after the competition restarted in 2020 and we started looking quite good under Payten. A few goes starting performing well during that period.

Before that I wasn't sure what they saw in him.

He's a good example of perseverance and plugging away. Since the club returned to NZ after covid there have been players ahead of him and he's still managed to get selected. Even 2024 with RTS coming in it looked like his time in first grade was limited. Sure, injuries to others helped but it has looked like he was won the coaching staff over through hard work and performances on the field.

Also been a reliable goal kicker.

We've had a lot of change as a club over the last few years. It's good having someone who has been here a while and has been improving.

The last couple of warrior games I've been to on the gc he would've been the one spending the most time with the kids after the games- signing stuff and taking photos etc so respect from me- very humble man- 100 games is a huge achievement.
Get the feeling he’s popular in the club too. Seems like a very hard worker that he’s earned where he’s at and nothing given free

Pretty sure he was free to look elsewhere a few years ago and now I'd argue he is one of our top 2 centers and versatile enough to play both sides of the field and cover wing. He has earned everything here and we would actually be struggling without him right now

He came close to going to knights a couple of years ago and backed himself to earn another contract at the club. Talks about being a 1 club player and I think he’ll make it because of the attitude he possesses. When he extended I noticed how he said he’d do anything for the club and I’ve watched how close he’s become with Capewell. Seems to sponge up all the knowledge Capewell has and my personal view is they’ll transition him to a second rower over time like a Connelly Lemuelu type, or bench at least with him handy in the positions he can fill and often defensively sound
