For real? Lol. The US has killed close to 1 million people in wars against middle eastern countries in the past 20 years alone. How many palestinians have been killed by the IDF assisted by the Americans? 10s of thousands of Palestinians are dead. And still being killed. Ice have murdered 32 people in its own country. I dont know how old you are, but out of due respect, were you alive in 1979 when the Islamic regime took over Iran, I was just started my apprentistship then, The Ayatollah and his mates are not Persians but Arabs (This is an actual occupation they are not natives to Iran) Jimmy Carter along with CIA, MI5 and the French, instigated it all, the lefty commies and others in Iran who got on the bandwagon against the Shar, became useful idiots who were abruptly executed, once the Islams took control, in fact anyone who were percieved as opposition or a threat.. I remember this on tv and radio when it was all truth in those days, not stupid unfactual opinions that some people believe. And for the last 47 yrs that factual truth still stands today... Im not going to get in an arguement or whatever, just carry on believeing what you do... maybe in a few months or years time, looking back at this period of new history will answer it all...

I’ll put my name to being pro the US acting against an evil regime.
The Iranian state confirmed 3000 and although sceptism in these numbers is fully justified (meaning this number is most likely undercooked), it's a far shot from 30000.
The HRNA have said double the Iranian Govts number, but even then their methodology is based off eye reports and estimations from photographs and what not. Hard to gauge the accuracy.
Any other numbers are speculative.

No one can independently verify anything there but the article has a lot of supporting evidence to indicate its way higher:
- two senior officials of the country’s Ministry of Health supported the 30,000 number
- That surreptitious tally of deaths recorded by hospitals stood at 30,304 as of Friday, according to Dr. Amir Parasta, a German-Iranian eye surgeon who prepared a report of the data
- Health care workers in Iran estimated at least 16,500 protesters had been killed by Jan. 10, according to an earlier report by Dr. Parasta in Munich. Friday’s update built on that research, he said.
- while millions were in the streets protesting - Rooftop snipers and trucks mounted with heavy machine guns opened fire, according to eyewitnesses and cell phone footage. On Friday, Jan. 9, an official of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned on state television to anyone venturing into the streets, “if … a bullet hits you, don’t complain.”
Whatever number it is pales in comparison to the handful of ice deaths that this thread went crazy over.
This is unfortunately the issue with collecting 'evidence'. I'm watching the NRNA investigation closely, as I am really curious to see how their methodology evolves to 'confirm' the realistic aftermath of the protests.
I have no doubt in my mind that these numbers are going to be more than the reported ones (from the Iranian Govt), I just don't agree with throwing them around until they are more solid.
It's not productive and only really used to prove points that elude the bigger picture.
