Current Affairs 2026 Iran War

Not sure whether the article is factual as I thought that USA is using Thaads but more likely APKWS II

I would hazard a guess and say that the US is looking more down the track of energy based counter measures.

Granted it's in its infancy, but there seems to be some pretty insane results (with new challenges to overcome)

This is nonsense.

US and Israel use multi layered air defence. Including the new Arrow 3 and David Sling systems. Neither THAAD nor Patriots are being used against Shaheed drones.

Also Israel just used its Iron Beam directed energy weapon for the first time.

Final sentence is retarded, it’s been incredibly cheap and effective. Iran is effectively finished

Iranians are Persian that speak Farsi. Very common language in Afghanistan.

Just elaborating on this a little bit.

Farsi is the Arabic adaptation of old Persian (based off structures seen in European languages), through Islamic (Arabic) conquest.

Stucturally, it still holds a lot of similarities to European languages (phonetic sounds that don't exist in Arabic/subject-object-verb sentence structures/no gutteral phonetics....etc), despite being written in Arabic script.

I'll discard the modern interpretation 'caucasian' (Western European) as I am assuming the original claim was around migration from the Caucases.

Culturally, the Caucasus nations are a bit of a cluster fuck, depending on their geographic positioning (Islam being more prevelant closer to the Middle East/Orthodox Christianity being more prevelant closer to Russia)

TLDR; history is complex, but culturally Iranian culture is heavily based off Arabic culture.

Edit: Clarification. By 'Iranian culture', I am referring to the modern iteration of it, in comparison to it's historical form.

Been around enough Persians to know they don’t take kindly to being called Arabs 🤣

Is Australia’s oil reserves in peril?
New zealand has to have 3 months fuel in reserves but most of it is kept in overseas stores (US, Uk, Japan)

Actual physically in NZ:

- Diesel: about 21 days (rising to 28 days by 2028)
- Jet fuel: about 24 days
- Petrol:
about 28 days (including shipments already on the way).

So only roughly 3-4 weeks physical fuel in New Zealand.

Now imagine if the US decides it wants to keep our NZ allocation stored there??? We should have kept Marsden as a strategic asset.

What do you think now borgy, are the Shia terrorist cells among us going to be activated?
Hard to say, ... too busy watching their masters get reamed in Iran..... guess it depends on whether aliegience to Allah and the greater good in their minds outweighs, the unthinkable possibility they could be dying for nothing... with no more funding... Hezbolah, Hamas and the Hooties have gone very quiet right now...
