It's been reported several times over the years that the Warriors have one of the highest "Walk-up" crowds in the NRL ie People who decide during the week whether it's a trip to the Wahs or something else over the weekend. As a long term season ticketer I'd say that's pretty accurate (just look at the crowds when the team are going through a really bad patch - middle bays of East and West Stand are fairly full but thin in other places and South and North stands are almost empty) so, frankly, until that changes (if it ever does!), if I'm the Warriors, while there's a Magic Round, wherever that is, I'm saying "We'll take the Home Game Payday, please!"

The Roosters are in danger of losing giant young hitman Terrell May, with a host of clubs chasing his signature.

And the Bulldogs could be in the pole position to sign the hulking prop, with coach Cameron Ciraldo a good friend of the May family.

May is a Panthers junior and was mentored by Ciraldo early in his career before debuting for the Roosters last season.

The 24-year-old came of age as an NRL player this year, playing 17 games in the Roosters' top side.

He is a free agent at the end of 2024, meaning clubs have been able to talk to him since November 1.

The Roosters paid massive dollars to lure Spencer Leniu from the Panthers recently and don't have much room to offer May an upgrade in the salary cap.

The tricolours are keen to retain May, but won't be able to match big-money offers from rival clubs like the Bulldogs

With Sheck in , could Adam play wing Outside him and be our designated kicker?

I'd be looking at moving Ali to wing first, I don't think there is any improvement in having Pompey on the wing over Marcelo, and having him as a backup goal kicker doesn't take him over the edge for me

In terms of a backup, firstly I am going to pray to rugby league jesus (Rocco Berry?) that SJ doesn't pick anything up that stops him lol, but if we do need one I like to think that Chanel will be in the 17 regularly one way or another

We had a pretty good run injury wise with our top 5 or so players having very little time injured in 2023, I'm worried that will balance out next year and we have big chunks with either Tohu, AFB, CNK, SJ, Roger all out. Hopefully that's not the case but I can't see us going through 2 seasons relatively unscathed, while 3-5 of our players have career years again...

And listening to that interview with Webster he wants even more out of them with everything to get faster. I must say though that I absolutely loved everything he said and hope it all comes to fruition. Was interesting in the recruitment part of the conversation that he mentioned a second rower to replace the others departed, does this mean a second rower to replace Ford? They obviously didn’t think Kalani Going is the right person and seems like Laban and Halasima might get some limited games if form warrants it and to blood them. Having a healthy squad is definitely key to our season though and to the right people, still feels like we short a front rower and question marks over AFB producing what he did this season and whether he stays interested.

Second rower to replace Curran/Sirro
Means webby must be satisfied with our current middles. I can see niukore playing more there though.

He said second rower OR forward in general.

Going for a place just below top four is a safe vanilla call which many like to hedge their bets on.

On page one I had us going even better than this season next year with a little injury luck thrown in.

That has all changed now I know our most important forward and only specialist prop wants out.

That is as bad a situation as you could dream up really, the Club curse lives.

Being completely honest here, I have reset my expectations for 2024. With AFB not likely to stick around, we would be doing extremely well to make the top eight in any position.

So my hope is eighth. Obviously better would be.....well better....but being a realist after a life time of Warriors shit, I have to say that having a team that makes any position in the top eight two years running is a massive improvement on years of missing out.

Just make the eight Warriors, become a permanent conversation in any NRL top eight forum. Do that first, and I am more than satisfied as a fan.

There’s certainly potential for that situation to arise, I really feel sorry for SJ being in one of the best premiership windows in his time at the Warriors and in such limited time left in his career for the AFB wanting out situation. At least Tohu has won one at the storm and RTS at the roosters.

Right, definitely not lol

He looks really familiar, is he a Fox player on a Trial deal, or a guy returning from Cup last year?

I really wish they'd tag the photos so those numpties like myself who don't know the players know who each player is. :)

Annoyingly, they did tag the other 4 photos, but not that dudes one 🙄
