with stands at the northern end like for the yawnionPretty sure it can't break 30k
I will join the devils advocate, I have sat in many places at MSS.Playing the devil's advocate...
1 - it takes a lot of resource to set up assisted channels of purchase, and that would be on Ticketmaster rather than the club. Simply not worth it for a one-off event and the small numbers that would utilise it.
2 - bays being blocked out for sponsors is a rumour at this stage. Everyone I know who got seats got them in prime spots after being on at midday, so I wouldn't take this as gospel.
3 - very case by case. Mine are significantly better. You could also specify which stand/section you wanted to buy in.
4 - the media are probably as much to blame for this as anyone, with their endless articles about Eden Park vs Mt Smart. I think it was pretty clear it was always going to be MSS this round, or EP the next.
I completely agree it sucks for the small number of fans that have missed out or been inconvenienced, but the system seems to have worked as intended for the most part.
IME they are great fans, very knowledgeable. I don't know what they will think if we have too many Bandwagoners. This is going to be a truly special atmosphere ladies and jellybeans (as a wise man once said).
I know a couple of Knights fans flying over for it, it'll be interesting to see how they reckon it compared to their ground last week.
Heyzeuss, and Shark Park is a small groundSharks didn't sell out until the day after sales went public
So we deserve the winKnights v Raiders and Roosters v Sharks didn't sell out until the day after sales went public, The Panthers game was a couple of days after that.
Goes to show this means more to us than it does to them ; )
They'll be on Facebook then probablyJust got a bunch of notifications that the tickets for sale on TradeMe have been "withdrawn by an administrator"
Hahahahhahaha.
Hahaha, love itJust got a bunch of notifications that the tickets for sale on TradeMe have been "withdrawn by an administrator"
Hahahahhahaha.
That's true. It's, um, a bit disorientating to see Warriors fans pissed off about the f'n quality of the f'n nosebleed seats in a Semi-FInal.At least we've got the chance to be pissed about the seating, hasn't happened in a while
The NRL advised, that due to the small capacity of Mt Smart Stadium and guidance to them from ticketmaster, that Member Same Seat redemption would not be available.
Ticketmast definitely have the ability to manage the same seat redemption but probably decided to push against it because of resourcing and the effort involved. If you want to send feedback to the NRL here is the e-mail address [email protected]
Below is the issue and message from the club:
The 2023 Finals Series is run completely by the NRL. No NRL clubs get to orchestrate in the process. The ticketing procedures, venues, pricing, and protocols are all set out by them. The only job we have had with the onsale of this game was to send out emails to our members with FAQ’s that have been advised by the NRL.
The NRL advised, that due to the small capacity of Mt Smart Stadium and guidance to them from ticketmaster, that Member Same Seat redemption would not be available. The NRL block out a handful of bays (again, couldn’t tell you which ones as we aren’t involved in the ticketing), which they acknowledged would disadvantage members who would normally sit in those seats.
The NRL is also the party that created the 6 ticket per transaction rule due to our small capacity. Which im sure you can imagine has disadvantages our members who hold more than 6 seats on their accounts. Which is again been another nightmare for us to try and trouble shoot.
We have field calls and emails all day yesterday when the member presale began at 12pm NZT. With zero capacity to assist with any issues that our members were having because we had been given no access or authority besides a list of our members AAN numbers.
Priority access to play offs is a selling point - with same seat redemption a possibilityI can understand why members are upset at not being able to buy tickets for their normal seats, but you've also got to remember..... with your memberships you are buying those seats only for the regular season games.... nowhere is there anything stating that you would have the right to buy tickets for those same seats during finals games.
I know it sucks but when a member buys a ticket, that's what they agree too.
Why not just allow the number of tickets your season ticket allows?Memberships that are more thank 6 tickets/seats missed out on their entitlement due to their 6 ticket limit. (Members who only have 1 seat could be 6)
I think it's probably a resourcing issue with the NRL but seems inexcusable given they are aware these games happen in the scheduling. Why not just allow the number of tickets your season ticket allows?
Members with 1 could only buy 1 at the presale? Why 6?
As I understand it though it’s the same rules for every team in the finals but just seems weird.
