I feel we would have been more likely to beat Panthers in the GF than at any other stages. Ah well here we go!
Also probably one of the grounds where we will have the least support

I would keep Lussick, the panthers run hard and Egan puts his head in the wrong spot again - game could be over before its even begun - AFB and Harris are going to play a lot of minutes, hard to find time for the extra middle.

Bench of

Lussick
Curran - Fords started the whole year, not sure why we'd change now.
Barnett - Comes on after 15 minutes.
Walker - Comes on after 25 minutes.

Standard 2 middles, edge, hooker replacement. no need to get cute.

We need to beat these guys, if we don’t we’ll face the knights the following week. I think I’d rather play A luailess Panthers team then the knights atm.
I disagree. Panthers are still the benchmark. It is either going to be Panthers 13+ or Warriors 1-12 imo. Really depends on whether it is the pre-3rd bye warriors or the team that has been playing post the 3rd bye that shows up on Saturday. We can beat the Knights, especially at home. I feel like alot of their winning streak into the finals, very much like ours, has been made to look better than it actually is by beating up mainly nrl minnows/out of form fringe 8 sides. Warriors vs Knights at Mt Smart/Eden Park in week 2 will be a cracking game however. Though I feel like Ricky may have something up his sleeve this week.

Our best run this year - between rds 14 to 20 (barring the shit showing against Rabbitohs) we've had a big pack with 2 props on the bench - usually Ale and Barnett, with Bunty starting. That's what I'd do here.

I understand the worry about Egan, but shit we can't carry someone on the bench INCASE he gets injured. The game plan should be for him to play 80, or have a 10 minute rest after half time with Walker slotting in for that time.

Were going to need to tire out the Panthers pack and need some big bodies there...Sirro and Lussick won't do that and won't sap any of their energy

Backs pick themselves. No changes there.

8. AFB
9. Egan
10. Bunty
11. Ford
12. Niukore
13. Tohu

14. Walker
15. Barnett
16. Curran
17. Ale

Just my view. Panthers have a very structured defence so we need to create the holes rather than look for opportunities in a scramble scenario.

Ford or Curran may be decided on who Webby thinks is the better hole runner if SJ and TMM get working at the line.

Tom or Bailey is a tough one. Probably Bailey for me with his versatility despite a crap game Saturday. Not likely to have two in a row.

Rest of it pretty much picks itself.
