Well, first, you deleted the previous link, good idea, it looked dodgy as fuck.

And are you seriously pulling two frankly unverifiable newspaper archives, one from an alias?

Desperate and hilarious.

The guy who was wanking on about starting a business that would benefit indigenous people - wanking on about Aboriginals eating foetuses.
Should be a great business that will go really well.

Wait, I’m meant to pretend that they didn’t? I guess you pretend your kids aren’t getting bashed. Not my style though

I had a look at those sources and from what I can see, the Thomas paper records and interprets alleged infanticide from settler observations rather than something widespread and normal in aboriginal culture.

The 19th century newspaper reports, while valuable, also reflect how events were reported. These reports are often second hand and written when there was a strong bias and benefit from making aboriginals out to be much worse than they were.

I can see isolated incidents, but that's different from (seemingly) claiming aboriginals were eating fetuses routinely or was a norm. If there's something more modern and peer reviewed, I'd genuinely be interested in seeing it.

Aboriginal infanticide is no different to Maori cannibalism and the Moriori. It’s all a white man myth to make the brown man look bad.

Until it’s proven as fact.
Those aren't myths at all, it's widely known to be true. The myths are that the Moriori are extinct, or that it was more than two iwi that slaughtered the Moriori.

Oh you'll be pretending when you're running your business (if that's not make believe which I suspect.)

Bit easier to be a nut case anonymously on a Warriors forum of all places.

I’m sure Naarm University will be thrilled to publish a study called β€œInfanticide amongst Aboriginal Australians”

I really can’t see any issues at all with that πŸ˜‚
The issue isn’t whether a university would publish it, it’s whether the evidence supports the scale of the claim being made.

Allegations recorded in 1840s newspapers aren’t automatically proof of a general cultural practice.

100% I agree. But you wouldn’t be allowed near records to even study it. Theres 100s of references to it in contemporary writing of the period. Not that that is conclusively proof of anything.

You’re talking about the country that finds the oldest humans remains ever and buries them without study. We only just admitted Tasmanian aboriginals werent extinct. We haven’t even started the Denisovan conversation yet.

What's the implication of Denisovan DNA?
