Nah I agree man. It’s been a shit day that’s for sure. Just sad that the reality is, you cannot actually speak freely anymore, without risk. Risk for your job. Risk of alienation from peers, friends, family. And now, risk of life. Free speech is gone.

I think there was a hard left shift prior. The world has predominantly corrected back the other way. Both went too far IMO. I think if you looked at it unemotionally you would see common traits from the fringe left and right.

I think when it's come to poltically outrage in the US, the statment that the people have had enough has been uttered 100s of times. Don't get me wrong i think this will likely embolden some other lunatics. And that is heavily heightened by the fact that the person who did it is still not found. And people keep attrubuting what ever motivation suits them to this whole thing. Making it a blank canvas to paint what ever picture you'd like upon it.

But as usual I don't think this tragic death is unusal for a country like the US. A country which seems to have them at a scale unlike most devloped stable nations.

Because, what happens when someone doesn't agree with something your partner, or your children, or your sibling, or your friend has said? Would their murder be justified if someone disagreed strongly enough with it?

It's been an emotional day I know.

But the motives of the shooter are totally unknown right now - so carrying prematurely about the left is pretty stupid right now.
It's doubly stupid to ignore the political violence that's happened to the other side recently in the states.
