Politics 🤡 Donald Trump

🤖 Thread Summary

j_p #206276 sharing a news article about New Zealand woman Sarah Shaw and her six-year-old son being detained by US immigration authorities. sup42 #206285 attributed the detention to racial profiling, claiming Shaw's olive complexion led to discriminatory treatment in what they called a "white supremacist fascist state." MrFrankWhite #206287 countered with a more procedural explanation, suggesting the issue stemmed from visa complications rather than racial bias, noting that Shaw's lawyer cited an "administrative error" with her temporary immigration document. juju #206296 challenged this assessment, arguing that detaining a mother and child for weeks over a clerical issue was excessive and indicated systemic problems with ICE procedures.

The conversation later shifted to broader Trump-related topics, MaybeTop8 #209467 sharing news about Trump firing DIA director Jeffrey Kruse following an Iran nuclear strike report. miket12 #209592 characterized Trump as "a spoiled brat who doesn't like being contradicted." More recently, MrFrankWhite #210608 introduced an unrelated incident involving Rampage Jackson's son Raja Jackson allegedly assaulting a wrestler during a live stream, suggesting it could escalate tensions in the US. However, sup42 #210627 and other users questioned the relevance of this incident to the Trump discussion thread, Noitall #210636 admitting uncertainty about the connection.

Also if my eyes deceive me, thats not the same zoomed in image on the bottom right. Top right has hair going over his ear, bottom right does not.
Bit of dry skin just under the hair in the sideburn area on the May 2025 close up one. Could be from the gunshot? Might have forgotten to moisturise too

I don’t profess to have sufficient knowledge of American law to know whether these cases are being decided on the basis of the law or whether the law is being rewritten to accommodate Trump.

Vance’s analysis goes some way to clarifying that

Yes I know that she is a Democrat

Yes I know she was appoint to the bench by Obama

I’m happy to consider any analysis that you care to post

The analysis of a majority supreme court decision? 😂

Im not discounting your source at all, but it does highlight why I wouldn't go out of my way to read her dissertations. The same way I wouldnt post the opinion piece of a right wing pro Russian polish infosec analyst.

But that doesnt mean I'm not interested in why your opinions on the topic and despite what you may think, I am interested in differing ideologies, but I prefer to have the discussion with the person rather than get given an academic reading assignment.

WTF are you talking about?

The post had nothing to do with “the analysis of a majority Supreme Court decision”

This.

Do any of us read whole articles posted? Other places for that.

Lol thats the ideal format. A summerised quote and a link to the source.
Agreed but I get her email so haven’t followed the @MrFrankWhite’s ideal format but I’ll try and do better for you in the future by finding her blog online.

Might be wasting my time as it is obvious you appear to have closed your mind to a different view on what is occurring in US politics

Bro I spent 2 days explaining how I am interested in your opinion despite it being different to mine. Then you say I “ appear to have closed mind”….

Greens should know better than to say ANYTHING about shoplifting:

‘Green MP Tamatha Paul, who is her party’s spokesperson for crime, shared her view on the hard-on-crime retail policy in a cost-of-living crisis. “This is about criminalising poor people,” she said. “We think criminalising people who have to resort to stealing to feed themselves is fundamentally wrong.”

She also said: “if people don’t have enough money to buy food, then they’re going to look towards shoplifting things.”

Greens have just given the green light to poor people to steal. The place will fall apart again, like last term when they are next in enabling thieving behaviour.

Trump will be pleased about this low blow comment by wiz. When are you going to pay back the money you owe the public health service?
