Politics πŸ€‘ Donald Trump

[Private group chat with Inruin, Wiz,]
Wiz: "They're not buying it"
Inruin: "Mention the open borders!"
Wiz: "I think they're on to that one"
Inruin: "I wonder if Frank's found enough disinformation and lies on X yet. I'll go check"
This is probably more apt.

Frank and Inruin.

I get what you're saying & that will be the quickest way to deal with the situation - but the deeper issue is the conduct is linked by a regime that are showing all the hallmarks of a fascist regime. The current government have a very one-sided and hypocritical perspective of human rights & inability to confront truth.

WHat will happen (hopefully) is that someone in the know makes the decision to follow the constitution, not the Whitehouse. I am hopefuk, they are a very patriotic people.

That requires two out of these to align as a minimum: Democrats (if they are standing up there's no cut through, which is possible given the strangulation the billionaires backing Trump have over the media there), honest Republicans willing to stand up (not visible, do they exist?) and the American people.

If the Americans can break through this I truly hope the constitution, if it ends up in a more democratic form is enshrined and independent of abuse.

Going to be interesting if they manage to rid themselves of immigrants, who’s going to fill the void? Machines? They won’t be cheap and probably out of reach for the average person

The thing is the solution is already in place, the constitution. The Trump administration is not following the constitution. SS Gruppenfuhrer Miller is the worst imo

We differ greatly if you believe the democrats are any better than the republicans. As I said this has to be resolved outside politics
At one level they're a bit softer, but they are essentially neoliberal. Right now they need to stand up, as a factor. Agree on what you say

Yes.

Reducing it to legal arguments and removing the politic completely ignores the driving force behind it all.

And this can clearly be seen by the Federal Govt officials being replaced by the regime specifically to remove constitutional frame works and to ignore the laws of the land.

Ergo....and this point really is the shit kicker, Trumps Govt places political animals from his far right circle in charge of the F.B.I. the military etc and therefore we see that this idea of appealing to the constitution and operational laws is completely irrelevant....and this is the proof: Citizens murdered = F.B.I. response is totally polluted, corrupted, unethical and driven by Political controls instituted by key Trump appointments.

It is the whole dam system.

IT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IS THE RIGHT.

What’s the latest angle? They’re doing immigrants a favour because they’re slaves?
He’s saying the same argument about unaffordability was used against stopping slavery. We stopped slavery and everyone moved on.

NZ tried to stop immigration during covid and we suffered huge labour shortages, massive price increases and in the end the govt opened the flood gates again.

To ween off immigration needs to be a long slow planned process.

But this is the conundrum in a nutshell, who’s going to do those jobs for the low wages? It’s no different over here in low paid jobs historically that we’ve brought people in to fill the roles when they can’t be filled for the low wages. It’s like American manufacturing too, all well and good to say bring the jobs back to America, but who’s going to do them when the product is manufactured overseas at a pittance. In a world where money comes out the winner every time, it’s not realistic without wage growth and more money to attract those that aren’t interested. There’s also the conundrum of machine type workers as they’re produced and that could have a bearing on immigration for work purposes too? Immigration also needs to be bringing in the correct people for the roles of for work purposes and after the Christchurch earthquakes, Irish builders were brought in working to a poor spec and a lot of the boom of work in Christchurch right now is remedial work performed by them
