I think it’s as clear cut as rational people don’t end up in that situation.

Everyone made their choices on the day. If you don’t want to put your life in the hands of others choices, don’t play with fire.
I agree with your first point, however, I don't think in this situation it warranted someone losing their life.

Clearly it was a series of poor decisions from both parties, but a trained individual like a law enforcement officer is meant to be able to handle untrained civilians a lot better than he did.

Remarkable to see a couple of posters on the right on here slip ever further into the embrace of authoritarianism in real time.

Remarkable how you can reframe a murder and water it down.

It’s taken a few days of quiet from the usual suspects but they’re here in their glory now. I can’t recall who it was, but what makes me laugh is posters like the one when Charlie Kirk’s throat was blown out saying they won’t talk to anyone again who has negative things to say about him. Just like people want to say Renee Good deserved what she got, as did Kirk to many

100%.

I did security in the MIQs during the last lockdown in Auckland. Had a courier refuse to give his details over to us (they were used in case someone got COVID for tracking purposes), bloke tried to do a runner and stupid me was in front of his car. Did I fear for my life? No I moved out of the way as they were at a stop and moved forward slowly enough that I could move out of the way, it's a similar situation here IMO.

Moral of the story is, civilians are unpredictable and untrained, the law enforcement officer should not have been in front of the vehicle as they are trained to do and did not need to have his weapon unholstered for this particular scenario. Should she have been there? No, but it's arguable she was doing anything illegal before the incident.

Canada and China deepen ties to go with Canada going into an agreement with India, Japan and another nation? Trumps concern about Greenland being taken over by foreign powers and proximity to America surely must be the same in this regard?

It comes down to was she presenting a threat to life to him or any other person that could not be resokved with any less violent manner.

I was a cop and faced these shoot no shoot situations both operationally and in exercises. I also faced real situations where I would have been justified to fire but had no firearm.

From what I have seen he could have got out of the way so I do not think it was justified but do not have alk the facts.
