Is the rate per 100,000 based on per 100,000 of that ethnic grouping or kids in total? For example Is that saying in 2021 there is a total of 21.9 deaths per 100,000 - or is it saying that of kids that are classified as Asian there are 0.9 deaths per 100,000 of that group?

Yes it’s firearm related mortality. Homicide / suicide. And it’s per cohort so for Asian kids it’s 0.9 deaths per 100,000 of that group.
