Of course it is. They are signaling to the Trump administration just as they did to the Biden one. Kimmel wasn't arrested or detained or disappeared, the private company that employs him, suspended his show.

Now you can argue all sorts of inferences from that, but its not a first amendment issue. Kimmel is still free to extoll his speech. He can get a mic and a boombox and stand on Crenshaw Blvd if he wants.

It was interference from a Trump appointment at the FCC that complained to Disney to get Kimmel stood down.

Fascism and Tyranny is suppressing opposing & dissenting voices.

This is not to mention the hefty media company mergers Trump has green light and eased through recently.

I never raised it was first amendment issue but it's an government integrity issue 100%

Even worse when you compare it to the fact Brian Kilmeade gets to keep his job on Fox News after advocating for the killing of Homeless people.

I don’t agree with anyone getting cancelled because of their views. I HATE cancel culture.

Both side do it and people shouldn’t be silenced for their views.

During covid we personally faced mandates, losing jobs, not attending loved ones funerals, people stuck out of the country, etc.

Blaming Russian Bots is a diversion, laying the blame anywhere except reflecting on our own policies.

Lool no, it definitely isn’t. I implore you to at least have a cursory understanding of the American constitution in order to have a discussion about it.

Even if Trump DEMANDED that Kimmel be fired, that’s not a first amendment violation, because the parties to that are still Kimmel and his employer. Theres no punitive action by the executive branch.

You don't think the Kremlin is actively trying to divide and destabilise western democracies? They sure helped out with the disinformation and chaos though, don't let them demoralise you.
