Politics đź¤ˇ Donald Trump

NZWarriors.com

has been swapped with a series of five commemorative stamps showing Tubman alongside William Still, Catherine Coffin, Thomas Garrett and Frederick Douglass. All five aided enslaved people seeking freedom. The stamps tout “Black/White” cooperation.

No explanation needed.
The Washington Post first reported on the changes. The webpage now leads with commemorative stamps of various civil rights leaders with text including the phrase “Black/White Cooperation.” Whereas previously, the article started with a description of enslaved peoples’ efforts to free themselves and the organization of the Underground Railroad after the Fugitive Slave Act, the article now starts with two paragraphs that emphasize the “American ideals of liberty and freedom” and do not specifically mention slavery.
Very obvious they're trying to brush their not so glorious history under the rug.

Mate you hnfi

Read the full judgement particular Sotomayor's scathing contribution
Did you actually read the whole thing?

Seems not with how many points you're missing regarding the topic as a whole.

Articulate it for us dummies. What did the article get wrong about the following statement?

The Supreme Court on Monday allowed President Donald Trump to enforce the Alien Enemies Act for now, handing the White House a significant victory that will let immigration officials rely on a sweeping wartime authority to rapidly deport alleged gang members.

You seem a bit fixated on that one particular line in the article.
Like it proves that the tough man approach to immigration you seem to wank over is lawful.

The article pretty clearly explains the contentious issues around what's happening with immigration in the US

Hiding behind a wartime act from 1798 to illegally deport innocent immigrants under the guise that they “invasion or predatory incursion.” via gangs, with flimsy evidence & without legal redress is undemocratic & wrong.

I'd laugh if you got 501'd though.

Here is the full judgement

The SCOTUS is so political that it is laughable but having said that the fact that one of the conservative judges has gone against the majority is telling and with the result of the recent Wisconsin Supreme Court vote where a Trump backed candidate was rolled is, in my view, a sign that the Republicans are starting to lose the popular vote

The most well reasoned part of the judgment is that written by Judge Sotomayor

And isn’t that the crux of what is occurring in US?

The POTUS has been enabled by the SCOTUS to disregard the rule of the law and declare who he wants as a threat to the US (INCLUDING NATURAL BORN CITIZENS) and deport them
That’s not what that case is about at all. Old mate isn’t a US citizen, he El Salvadorian. What Trump is doing is actually quite close to the 501s from layman’s perspectives.

You can’t deport natural born citizens unless they are dual nationals and even then, that’s the most hotly disputed deportation move there is. A few countries have tried that.

You can if you are this POTUS and make a proclamation under the Alien Enemies Act

What’s to stop us importing Chinese junk into NZ then exporting it to the US and pay NZ’s 10% tariff instead of Chinas 100%?

The futility of Trumps tariffs. Like all tax rules, there will be huge money in the workarounds.
