Very reminiscent of when the coalition was voted in here and people would complain like sore losers as policy was changed (as per the election campaign).

Bit more respect for democracy needed, even if your fellow voters decide to vote in a clown. You have to suck it up šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I donā€™t follow US politics much. Not overly interested.

Have they done what was pledged before the election or is this unexpected?

Seems the people voted in chaos and thatā€™s what they are getting. Blame their fellow voter, rather than smashing up cars like toddlers do.

It depends what time of day it is to understand whether the people are getting what they voted for or not.

Big tariff, no tariff, big tariff, no tariff. Itā€™s like the okey cokey.

And why canā€™t people protest about something they donā€™t like? Not everybody in America voted for Trump and tbh there is no other opposition to him atm, he doesnā€™t have to turn up in parliament every week and take questions

The only policies he appears to be following consistently are supporting Russia and we all know why that is. The other one is retribution for all those who tried to bring him to book for his own crimes

And when America was attacked on 9/11, did anyone say give us x amount of your natural resources in exchange for military support? They would've been shamed internationally.

1 last thing, after the Soviet Union collapsed Ukraine & the US made a deal. If Ukraine gave up the nukes the US would protect them. But I wouldn't trust the orange maga puke man to honour the agreement, too ignorant to even be aware of it, I'd bet my car on it.

Elina lost 25% of his wealth since the election and heā€™s doing it for the money?

Canā€™t Elon just start another business and make billions? Or do we think heā€™s poor and needs the cash so he wants to steal it from another country?

I donā€™t know, this rich trying to make themselves rich doesnā€™t make much sense. A pretend rich like trump trying to get kickbacks maybe but I honestly donā€™t think Musk is motivated by money.

What is it rich people want most? More and more money. Elon's cut a lot under DOGE but not where it would effect Tesla or Starlink or SpaceX.

I honestly donā€™t think Elon does care about money anymore. More success and power? But not more cash he will never spend.

Evidence - bought Twitter for non financial reason and has actively destroyed its value.
- has consistently (and financially stupidly) put every cent of profit into his next high risk project risking losing it all.
- if your a business man build around ā€˜brandsā€™ and their popularity, itā€™s business death to get into politics - as Tesla is showing.

You are attaching your own emotive opinions about money and power and the result is a wishy washy 'I don't think' barrel of contradictions.

Megalomaniacs like Elon Musk (have you ever listened to the guy? or watched his ego grow bigger than the galaxy when someone like Joe Rogan blows smoke up his arse?).....megalomaniacs as I was saying have no limit to their thirst for power.

Elon as you say makes high risk investments, but are they high risk when you are the richest man in the world? no.

And what was the truth of the 'risk' of buying Twitter? the platform had become profitable before Musk bought it.

Musk can afford to lose the money, he did not buy Twitter for pure profit, he bought it for power and control of the masses. Musk would not have imagined that Twitter was going to take a dive after he bought it, he projected himself that he expected it would thrive under his ownership.

I don't follow Elon btw. I couldn't give a shit about his story. It is no coincidence since Musk came along that Trump started parroting his weird "they got great rare earths, great rare earths'.....

To put is simply, so called rare earths are the new oil. Everyone knows this, China and the rest of the world are re enacting the fossil fuel wars over control of the technology equivalent....the raw ingredients for weapons systems, the raw ingredients for defence networks....the raw ingredients for the Artificial intelligence arms race.

So....yes Elon wants rare earths, everyone does, Putin didn't invade Ukraine to fight Nazis.....
