just because it existed, doesnt mean its the reason for a countries founding.

But I mean yeah Native Americans were taking slaves before the Spanish arrived if thats your meaning?
The Americans just followed the British with how they shipped slaves from the Caribbean. Slavery is big part of their history along with abolition movement

To claim that America, whose actual founding was based on the British and Dutch escaping religious persecution, is actually slavery, is objectively wrong in every facet.

I have a familial line that ends with the trans Atlantic slave trade, but theres slave trading within it that predates Europeans

Slavery was a big part of the economic success of the US but America was founded to break away from English control:

The American Revolution (1765–1783) was an ideological and political movement in the Thirteen Colonies which peaked when colonists initiated the ultimately successful war for independence (the American Revolutionary War) against the Kingdom of Great Britain. Leaders of the American Revolution were colonial separatist leaderswho originally sought more autonomy as British subjects, but later assembled to support the Revolutionary War, which ended British colonial rule over the colonies, establishing their independence as the United States of America in July 1776.

They soon adopted the Declaration of Independence, which embodied the political philosophies of liberalism and republicanism, rejected monarchy and aristocracy, and famously proclaimed that "all men are created equal".
 
Demands more investigation:
Do the concerned parents think this teacher is a bitch and are making things out of nothing?
Can we get third party confirmation that any person shown in the videos allegedly shared is A) The teacher in question and B) Not acting up because the person holding the smartphone/whatever was used to record the video directed them to?
And if there's evidence of her using the ladies' loo (ie something a cat wouldn't do because it'd fall in and die most likely or screetch until someone rescued it!), she's obviously role-playing for her own amusement.

As mentioned in this piece that the Declaration of Independence isn’t actually a binding artefact and really an ideal, which is why that statement would be unfathomable when you consider the whole civil rights movement and the atrocities down south that would follow years later

Individuals rights over the state. Seem like that’s right of centre. Still not seeing the hard left of centre takes in the Declaration

I think the strong libertarian individual rights define America. The US is politically the most libertarian country in the world.

The power of the individual over the state.

Just like many ideals there’s a lot wrong with it but its clearly a guiding principle in their country.


Ps. for what it’s worth, one branch of my family tree traces back to Nigeria through the Caribbean. Another branch is Indian through plantations in Mauritius. Both were slaves.
