Some good deals still to be had if you know where to look. A friend just picked up some flights on Qantas flying business class from Akl to NYC (via Syd and Dallas) and then travelling back from Dallas to Akl (again via Syd) for only $1,200 more per person than doing the same trip economy on Air NZ (and less than Air NZ's Premium Economy). The Qantas sale finished yesterday. Cost him $9,000 PP for fares that would normally be over $15,000 PP.

Shit I’m barely keeping on top of everything that’s gone up in price Mike to be considering a trip without frank coming to the party. He said previously he’d pick me up from the airport but unfortunately funds are a bit strapped to get there. Im a Qantas business class fiend. Their blind auction is so good. Between points and bidding like 1/3 the price in the auction, Ive been Aus-US 2x, Aus-NZx 2 and Aus-UAE x1 since '18

National MP Rima Nakhle’s bill prohibits the Crown and its agencies from providing funds directly and indirectly to organisations that are run by, administered by or associated with gangs. The bill was supported by National, Labour, Act and New Zealand First, and opposed by the Greens, Te Pāti Māori and the two independents.


Really undeniable theme the Greens are cozying up to criminals and gangs. If they get in it will be the return to ram raids, gang intimidation and MP’s shoplifting.
