We get "China fires flares at Air Force jet" and you have to dig into it to find out it is a surveillance aircraft flying along Chinas disputed border along the yellow sea.

And while yes there are UN sanctions on North Korea, Aus and NZ certainly have not been tasked by the UN to conduct military action there.

Would be the kiss of death for Bishop imo. Think he knows that and is biding his time (after the election)

To come out now or in a few weeks time after all the denials and mea culpas would cut his credibility to shreds with the National electorate plus probably a good portion of the caucus
