Can just see MP’s bringing apples to parliament and offering them to Hipkins every time he tries to comment on child poverty. He could be damaged goods…

Nah, Hipkins is the coalitions best assets, they will be trying to shut this down as well and won’t want to see him step down.
A bit of stuff floating up around his replacement, mcnulty today too

Hopefully, the Hipkins allegations disappear from the news cycle. Best for it to be settled privately or via the courts. Especially as they have kids.

Due to the Me Too movement, there was a period when people would push to believe all women. A lot of those historical cases had a lot to back them up. Since then there have been others that do not or based on lies. We even had a journalist here in NZ who was listed as a Me Too journalist report on a court case, complaining the victim had to take the stand. Even though it was proven that the person was lying and had dragged the man's reputation through the mud for 6 years.

I'm following another case at the moment, which the mainstream media is reporting about the SH and SA allegations, like the man is guilty. The evidence provided points the other way.

I know the latest article she mentions about speaking up against high-profile men. Speaking up against anyone with a profile is difficult. This could be a case of an ex making something up, exaggerating the truth or somewhere in the middle. The media doesn't help, as they report "we can't report on it," which then leads to everyone searching for it. Similar to court cases where they complain that all of the details are reported overseas.

Certain people on here slammed Labour when petrol was high during their term, even though Labour subsidised it. Well, no subsidies from this coalition and they are responsible by the same criteria.

And they're definitely responsible for this https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/business/589814/mince-records-biggest-annual-increase-since-data-began
Great stuff, means the Beef Schedule is doing its job. Earning lots of Exports. Not sure how the Govt controls the Schedule? Please enlighten me.

Doesn't mention if it's the 5%, 13% or 18% product. Makes quite a difference per kilo.

Thank God potato chips have come down. Copper Kettle are my favourite.

Hey Rick, there's been an antagonistic poster from tauranga on here and a few other places, as the antagonistic poster policeman in these parts can you sort it out? Thanks

Well quite Rick, quite. Remember that when this lot have been thrown out.

They could legislate of course, if they wanted.
Can we legislate in NZ what other countries buy/sell our mince for? Because the price we pay is reflected on how much other countries are prepared to pay.

I guess that the government could subsidize beef so the beef farmers get the same money but it’s less in the shops. But wouldn’t that be like a tax cut for millionaire farmers?

Wow… We have a Russian communist spy amongst our forum that just outed themselves πŸ˜™

Copying what the colonists did to māori was really progressive and moved the country forward for the better… end justifies the means aye?

Actually MT8 they already have. Was trolling around the NI at the weekend and it's amazing how much Farm land is part owned/managed by Landcorp. The Wairakei Estate is a good case in point. Check it out.

Not sure it's something the state should be investing in unless as you say they intend to subsidise the product.

If it is running at a loss or the asset value far exceeds the return, they should go.
